Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tomato831 High Quality for an Inexpensive Price
Was looking for a gas stove to replace my 10 year old gas bucket. I wanted something that was not expensive yet was able to withstand a daily beating of constant cooking for a family of five. After about three months with the gas stove and with no days off, this stove has surpassed my expectations. The unit runs great and the knobs really help us see how strong we want the heat (we all wear glasses). Also, the heat never diminishes and simplicity of the stove never takes away from the quality and efficiency of this stove.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AnnGab Bought this for simmer feature :-)
Had an old gas range that was still working but tenant complaint about the missing simmer flame feature. I don't usually replace appliances in working condition as I don't want to promote the wasteful habit but tenant was negligence one time and the whole house smell like gas. For safety purpose, I started reading reviews online on major brands and various home improvement stores Website. I found the reviews on Hotpoint to be strong and most importantly, someone mentioned about the simmer flames feature. It has been 6 months and the tenant seems happy with it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SFBayAreaGal Great stove, works like a charm!
My 15-year-old Whirlpool gas stove stopped working properly. I bought this unit based on user reviews, price, and the fact that it's a simple gas range that doesn't ask me to pay extra for features I don't need. This thing is terrific.
Delivery was prompt, install service was fantastic, and the stove-top burners and oven work beautifully.
I was a bit concerned after reading a couple of reviews saying the stove-top burners don't turn down low enough to simmer food. No way. They turn down very, very low, so you can have barely a show of a flame, if that's what you want. In fact, these burners turn down lower than the ones on the Whirlpool that this stove replaced.
I highly recommend this stove if you want a basic gas range that gives you four burners (all the same size) that are easy to clean, give you the widest range of flame sizes (from big flames to barely discernable), an oven that's roomy and that heats up fast, and a nice broiler, too.
The large back-splash on this thing, where the timer and digital clock and digital oven temp setter would go on the more expensive model, is also nice. It keeps cooking splashes from getting on the wall.
Really, really glad I bought this stove. Thanks to all the other review-writers here who helped steer me in the right direction!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SusanMC This product is beautiful!
It is a simple stove with no bells and whistles, but, it's something to truly love. The oven turns-on in a heartbeat and has so much room! The stove-top is remarkably easy to keep clean. I'm so glad I chose this Hotpoint over others. Though there is not a clock, it didn't matter to me. What mattered is that my home have a basic wonderful stove to present the best meals - - that is what I have! I love my new stove.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dana So happy!!
In the last 3 years I have had two different brands of the highly touted electronic ovens. Repair of these high tech inventions were $$$. So I researched and found at Home Depot exactly what I wanted - a no-nonsense stove. An oven with a front knob control that can actually be adjusted by the cook without phoning a techie to come and do it!
You'all can keep those rocket science ovens - this Hotpoint does a great old-fashioned job of baking and roasting! Thanks GE for this range and thanks toHome Depot for offering it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dale A good solid no frills stove
After Hurricane Sandy, we needed a simple stove to put in upstairs until the downstairs kitchen was rebuilt. We didn't need bells or whistles, just a dependable stove so we didn't have to cook everything in the microwave and toaster oven. I checked the reviews and this model had top ratings. Having owned it for three months, I can see why. It's a nice, solid, no frills stove. It won't tell you the time or temperature, but it will cook great meanls. In fact, it seems to cook better than the more upscale stove we had downstairs. I can't recommend this stove emough. It's a really good stove at a great price. Even at a higher price, it would be worth the money.

This basic gas range provides enough cooking power for our family. It is easy to operate, both the
burners and stove work great. No fancy electronic
digital readout means less chance for expensive
repair costs. Highly recommended product.
