it is just inside the front of the dryer at the bottom of the opening, easily accessible. It is very lightweight, but works well and is simple to clean.

Disassembly also more or less follows a path from top to bottom, front to back. Make sure you are wearing a pair of cut resistant gloves as many of the internal edges can be very sharp.

*First unplug the dryer, then turn off and disconnect the gas line.
*If you feel around behind the control panel you should find two to four screws which will need to be removed.
*Carefully lift the control panel free of the dryer top.
*Depending on the specific assembly of your dryer the lid will need a couple of screws removed to release it from the door. The lid may also simply be tabbed down onto the sides and can be lifted without removing further screws.
*Just inside of the dryer's front you should see a screw to each side holding the front to the sides. Remove these.
* Lift and move the front panel off to the side.
*You now have access to the dryer's internal parts. Depending on the exact type of repair you are attempting more disassembly may be required.
I hope this is helpful.
Cheers,
Chris

Yes-I had to get mine converted to propane. Someone from the propane company that I have, came and installed the part for me. They didn't charge me anything. I had called them first, so I don't know what other people/companies would charge. But I do know that it can be converted......Debie

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Does The Job My priorities are lint screen NOT on top, NOT computer controlled, large capacity, and gas. This dryer is the few that meet these criteria. I had some concern in that the drum material in some specs say plastic. It is not: metal with plastic paddles. Interior light is a nice touch. The actual lint screen is a small area – half the size of my old dryer. Clogs pretty fast on towels. I had to install a propane conversion kit (GE# WE25X0217; Amazon) so I had to tear into the dryer before I ever used it. Kit installation is quite simple. However— Wow, they have sure cheapened dryers since I replaced my 20-year old one. I suppose they’re all like that now days. I do wish they would put a half inch longer gas inlet on the thing. It is almost flush with the back of the cabinet. Since I had the gas valve out anyway, I added an extension to get the gas line installed. There is not enough room to install an elbow to keep the gas line from hitting the back wall, for instance, as delivered. And I’m not sure there is even enough room to get a wrench on the inlet to tighten a fitting. As I say, I had the whole valve out anyway. Also, the rear of the dryer is not flat. There is a bulge of 3 or 4 inches. Maybe they wanted to be sure the vent pipe didn’t get kinked. But my vent is through the wall and my old dryer could go right up to the back wall. This one cannot. Runs quiet enough. Auto sensor works. End of cycle buzzer works (and can’t be disabled for those with sleeping children). So I am an expert after one small load: No real regrets so far. May 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Dryer Nice dryer. Works great so far. The only thing I don't like about it is I cannot turn the buzzer off when the clothes are ready ,being able to do that would be a great feature. But it's a nice dryer for the price. August 20, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Disappointed that my washer does not have a gentle cycle for fine items. If I had noticed it when I was looking, I would not have purchased this item. May 5, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Appliance I love my new appliance it really does the job great. April 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very efficient and good value Dries quickly and has a huge load capacity. Very streamlined and efficient. The lint bin is a little lightweight, but works well if you clean it after every load. Great value for the money if you are looking for a basic dryer without a lot of extras. Very happy with my purchase. January 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value for the money I have been very happy with this dryer thus far. It was a good value for the money. We didn't expect a spectacular appliance, but it's definitely done the job well. Nothing fancy, but it dries our clothes efficiently and relatively quickly. July 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Basic dryer that does the job well. The dryer is basic, which is what I wanted. Love the light inside. My only criticisms are that the filter is flimsy and the buzzer is loud and I can't turn it off. October 1, 2013
