Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JRDDRDEMAR Oops--missing a couple of small but important parts!
This model replaced one of those fancier dishwashers that had one of those computerized electronic front panels that burned out after two years. I wanted a machine with a dial that would last! My two complaints have nothing to do with washing the dishes, however (it does a good job at that). My machine arrived missing the two tiny plastic "rack stops," which snap into those metal side pieces and allow the top rack to slide out. Without these pieces, the top rack simply falls out when pulled out when you load or unload the dishwasher. I will be contacting GE and see if they will send me new rack stops, but what an inconvenience. My other concern is that the door drops suddenly when you open the machine, so you have to ease it down by hand.

My son is thrilled he doesn't have to wash dishes by hand now. Easy install to replace the DOA one that came with the house. Don't be afraid to make sure the water inlet elbow is tight. I was afraid of breaking something and had to go back and tighten it a couple more turns. No frills I didn't need or want and right within the budget. Thank you Home Depot for being my go-to place!!

A no frills affordable product that does the job. It's a dishwasher that washes dishes like it should. This replaced a model that had buttons and cycles that We never used and only lasted about 2 years. Delivery was easy and installation was a direct fit.

it's a dishwasher. Dishes are clean when it has finished cleaning them.. It is not overly loud or long cycle. Seems to work well. Installation was very professional and timely.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Robert There's a lot to be said for mechanical timers
The Dishwasher that We were using was one of those electronic control board types and had developed a mind of it's own, Sometimes The thing would dry and other times it would not. It also would run on for two or three hours and not clean the dishes, Not much of an energy saver. We had it fixed under warranty....But it didn't make any noticeable difference. That's when We decided to start looking for another one and found this new unit online at the Home Depot. I like the mechanical timer feature because It's more reliable and We can see where it's at in the cycle and what it's doing. The new unit can also be opened and closed during a cycle for those forgotten glasses and silverware to be added. The new one also did not come with a sound shield so I just used the one off of the old unit and that was a huge plus. I personally prefer to hear it run anyway. This new Dishwasher goes through a cycle in approximately 45 min. to an hour and the dishes are actually clean and dry !, What more can one ask from a Dishwasher ?

Inexpensive, easy to install dishwasher with basic features makes this usable by all members of the family. Makes a heartwarming hum that lets you know someone else other than you are washing the dishes :0) If you are looking for quiet and extravagant stainless steel model with abundant washing cycles where the control panels has been noted to go out frequently then this is not the model for you. This is classic black with a couple choices including water saver that has a noticeable but pleasant hum while it does the dishes for you. And for $229.00 plus free delivery with free removal who could possible complain :0) I am very impressed!!!

This dishwasher is definitely a downgrade from my previous - stainless steel tub Maytag - BUT this one works. The control panel went out twice in 3 years on the Maytag and I wanted something that didn't have electronic parts. I paid $600 for the Maytag and $200 to have the control panel fixed once. I wasn't throwing anymore money into the money pit Maytag. I paid $245 with tax for this machine. The tub is smaller and it isn't nearly as quiet, but it is an excellent dishwasher. Every time I turn it on; it works. My dishes are very clean. All my appliances are stainless. A can of stainless steel paint and presto change O! I have matching appliances

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by lizzie Little disappointed and having to return
I replaced a more expensive dishwasher with this basic one. The other one continually had mold issues. Even though this one is the most inexpensive it cleans my dishes better. However, after it is done there is a puddle of water in the bottom that does not totally drain. Because of my previous mold issues this really bothers me. There is no way on the basic dial to just turn it to 'drain' and run again. Therefore I am going to return it. I may even just get another of the same hoping this is a one-off problem. Although I am not crazy about the design of the pull out racks and because of it it seems like it doesnt hold much.
But for a basic model, the price, it does do the work.
