Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very pleased I havent had this product for long but so far it has done its job and I am very pleased. I wanted a garden but didnt want to spend the money on a gas tiller and this tiller has done the trick and now I have a 10' X 20' garden. Would definitely recomment this product April 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by makes my digging much easier! i read some reviews saying this is not good for hard soil. well i have got some really hard and compacted clay soil, and using this tiller to loosen up the soil first makes it much easier to dig up quite an area for my new garden. the secret is to not to be greedy and try to push the tines too deep into the soil, but to scrape the surface a little at a time. after you've loosen enough soil, use a shovel to scoop up the loose soil. do the same to remove old lawn. don't push it too deep, scrape the surface. also important is to wet the hard soil first before you start the tilling (scraping). don't dump a lot of water on the soil all at once, the harden soil won't absorb it. gotta take it slowly, give it a little, wait at least a few hours, then give it some more, then wait a few more hours, then you can start the tilling. overnight is even better if you have the time. after you have dug up all the moisten and loosen soil, and once again hit upon hard soil, repeat the wetting process. that's how i dig my garden. also, don't work on clay soil when it is very wet like mud, wait until it is slightly dryer, to moist. hope this help. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome tool.... I've used this for a few years working in my mothers garden. I love this tool! It's easy to use and it works so good. If you have a deep root to lossen....just turn it down into the dirt a few times and it comes out. I used this tool for 4 hours. I'm not sore anywhere. I am buying my own hound dog tiller. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A handy tool to have at any time! I have used this tool numerous times and it has always performed as expected. A simple twist will loosen any soil and there is little wasted motion. April 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Versitle I needed a compost turner but they didn't have it in stock so I thought I'd give it a try... Works very well as a compost turner (and it is cheaper). My soil is organic rich and this tiller works superbly at mixing loam and mulch without tearing up the soil profile and earthwork burrows only negative is I think it a bit pricy, but otherwise, get one!
