Rated 5 out of 5Â by Cindy Beautiful product
This hickory wainscot is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for the back of my kitchen island. You definitely do need to pre-drill the holes- and hammer by hand. When using the air nailer, I split 3 of the boards. We have an 8-foot island and this kit finished it perfectly with a few boards to spare. We didn't have any quality issues. I also did not apply finish before installing- figured it would be just as easy to do it after.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by BearMan Looks nice when finished
Used this kit to complete a kitchen island. Very nice hickory grain patterns and all needed pieces were included.
A couple of problems: The rabbet on the trim pieces wasn't deep enough to clear the slats, so I had to fix that. And there were two seriously bowed slats, and three with broken tongues (these are T&G pieces). Other than those shortcomings, it's a nice product.

What is provided is 30ea panels measuring 3.03" (not counting tongue) which will leave you 6" short of the advertised 8 feet and that's only if all panels are good. In my kit the good panels needing no further touch up like filling and sanding was gorgeous. Some panels need work. That really slows the process. Tossing in a few more panels would have cost them hardly a dollar yet look at the cost to you if you are truly in need of 8 feet of wainscot. So, as with most lumber products, order more than you need and chuck what you don't like. Too bad, otherwise I'd have gladly given this five stars.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Daniel Looks great in the bathroom!
Used this wainscoting product in the bathroom. Looks great. Hickory is a hard wood so I pre-drilled the holes for nails on the chair rails and baseboards and glued the uprights. A few of the hickory tongue and groove pieces had some irregularities (saw marks), which isn't unexpected with a real wood product. Still useable however. One baseboard was slightly warped (again not unusual) so I used a screw to pull it into the stud. Very pleased with overall results.
