Overall the product was easy to install with the right tools. The product was machined well, although there were a few of the pieces I would consider below grade. Fortunately I had extra.

We bought 2 kits and used the full lengths without the top chair rail to cover our lower cabinet under our breakfast bar and then cut smaller lengths and used the top chair rail above it to decorate a large window seat area in an area diagonally set from the breakfast area. A very big improvement for approximately $200. Make sure that you lay your pieces out on the floor ahead of time so they will be put up in an aesthetically pleasing order as wood grains vary (especially if someone else is installing them)

I couldn't order product online without getting the military discount offered to veterans by Home Depot, therefore I called my order in. Everything went very smoothly and the order taker was also very friendly. My order arrived within 4 days and I couldn't believe how smoothly things were moving along until I opened the cartons. There were at least 25% of unstainable panels due too poor finishing or rough marred areas. I actually only needed 18 feet of paneling for this project therefore I had to purchase three 8 foot sections leaving 6 feet left over. The chair railing and base molding were in excellent condition along with seventy four 3 inch panels which worked out to what was needed plus 2 spare panels. Since everything basically worked out I kept the product and proceeded to finish the project.

We were renovating our hopelessly outdated 90's era master bathroom and decided to install wainscot paneling since it matched the design on the new vanity. This product fit our needs perfectly. We ordered two sets of eight feet each (64 three-inch panels), and only one panel had a minor defect on the front. It was pretty easy to paint, and our carpenter installed it with no difficulty. The finished effect looks very nice.
I would note that there was a bit of unevenness in the length of the pieces, maybe 1/8 or 1/4 inch extra for some panels, but that was easily hidden by the chair rail on top. You should also be aware that you will probably need a bit more than you measure for, both to account for any defective pieces and also for the material you lose when cutting to fit the end pieces for the walls. The total linear footage of my bathroom walls was 15.25 feet, yet we needed every last bit of the 16 feet of wainscoting to cover them.
In sum, I do recommend this product, especially since the maple has a really beautiful finish. And for anyone who wants to support American manufacturing and jobs, it's good to know that this product is made in the U.S.

overall quality of material and packaging were very good.2 verticle slats were were cut wavy,I needed 7.4 feet of coverage so this was not a problem. The material was used in a kitchen with clear finished custom maple cabinets.I pre sanded all the the material with 320 grit paper vacumed the material and wiped with micro fiber cloth.I then sprayed on 5 coats of satin polyeurathane varnish unthinned with an automotive detail gun and let dry for 48 hrs the varnish is also available in spray cans, scuffed up with 0000 steel wool vacumed and wiped again with micro fiber cloth, then sprayed on a finale coat. the resulting finish very closely matched the custom maple cabinets and blended in perfectly with the kitchen.the actual installation went very quickly following the enclosed instructions.this project took a week of evenings and was well worth the effort as it looks like something out of a magazine
