4. Position the ground sleeve as shown and pour concrete around the outside until flush with the top of the ground sleeve (or 1-1 1/2 inch below top if in a lawn.) This will allow filling top layer with soil and planting.
5. Insert the pole into the ground sleeve and use a level to align the pole vertically. Carefully remove the pole, without moving the ground sleeve.
6. Immediately run a small tube or stick down the center of the sleeve through the concrete until it reaches the crushed rock base. Remove tube or stick. This will allow any water to drain.

Answer:
i put it in 10 inches of quickrete. there's a sleve that the pole sits in which allows it to turn. it also let's it lean a litttle. the turning lets you stand in one place and turn it and place the clothes on it. i have no knees to it makes hanging clothes easier. i also live in the highest point in s.e. michigan-lots of wind. i've had the dryer for about 5 years. no complaints.

Answer:
Hi siamese,
The 3000 has an aluminum upper structure; the 4000 has a steel upper structure. So it's a question of your material preference. Both are rust-resistant. The aluminum is lighter weight.

Hi Siamese,
The 3000 has an aluminum upper structure; the 4000 has a steel upper structure. So the different here is a choice in materials. Both are sturdy and are rust-resistant. The aluminum will weigh less.

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 36 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product It must be noted that the pole, when deployed, may be a bit too high for those who might be altitudinally challenged. It is a couple of inches higher than my old pole. It also has more area available for clothing than my old pole. I had a little bit of trouble deploying it because some of the lines got tangled, but I was finally able to untangle them. Then it opened up quickly. I believe it will hold up well as long as you do a decent job of balancing the weight, i.e. don't put all your towels and pants on one side with handkerchiefs on the other. It comes with a small pole for in-ground installation if this is to be a new installation. I wish the instructions were more detailed. June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely love this clothesline! Fits so much, very sturdy and unlike a few other reviews, it does not sag. Much better than the bigger umbrella-like clothes line I had prior. My son put it up in under 5 minutes! Well worth the buy for the great price and terrific workmanship. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by outdoor clothers dryer Easy set up and take down seems to be sturdy in a wind. After tightening the lines 2-3 times, all seem to not stretch anymore. Would recommend purchase. August 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not too good for short people Even with the base at ground height the dryer is too high for a relatively short person. I had to have the support pole cut down to make the product useful. Also, the lines do tangle easily. We have followed one other person's suggestion to gather all the lines on each side and tie them together when collapsing the dryer. June 21, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needed repairs within one month If price is your main concern and you can handle small repairs, then this is ok. Since you cannot see the quality before the purchase, it is very difficult to know if the more expensive one is any better quality...not fond of buying without actually seeing the product! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PARALLEL CLOTHES DRYER - ALUMINUM Parallel Clothes line dryer is excellent. It was easy to set up since I was replacing one that we had for 16 years. It took all of 5 minutes to replace and open in place. Appears as to be strong and plenty of space to hang a load of laundry or two. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My new clothes line Love this item. Easy to install (my husband did it) and it works great even with drooping lines. I just need more pins. May 31, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT BUY Item imperfectly manufactured: measured height was 88" instead of 72" requiring a stepladder to hang and take down laundry. Item box showed severe damage and, indeed, protective plastic (!) shield on pot-metal hinge was broken off. Metal pole had rust stains at several points. RETURNED IMMEDIATELY: WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WASTING TIME WITH PURCHASE June 7, 2016
