Overall this sink seems to be decent. I've only been using it for about a month, so I can't speak to problems with the sound proofing material peeling. My main complaint is that the surface is textured, making it difficult to clean. The sides of the sink constantly appear dirty even after I wash and dry them because I can't get the water spots off. It is also difficult to wipe the bottom of the sink because of this texturing. The bottom already has some noticeable scratches in it, although it has seen very light use thus far (no heavy pots and pans). If you don't want to spend a lot of money for an 18 gauge sink, this is a good economical option, but you do get what you pay for.

After new countertop was installed, we measured (twice) and cut out for the sink. In it went like a breeze with a little silicon caulk. I installed the faucet before putting in the sink to minimize the time spent on my back for hookup. The clips are a little flimsy but they hold the sink in place.
I like the placement of the drain toward the rear of the sink to maximize under sink space. With my old two bowl I could barely fit some cleaning supplies. I now have room for a waste basket, dish drainer and wash tub.
I tried to order the protective grid (BG-3600) but it is perpetually out of stock from Houzer.
All in all a nice addition to my renovated kitchen.

We've had this sink over 6 months and it has exceeded my expectations. It's easy to clean and looks shiny when clean. The depth is awesome and it gives a much better more modern look than most top mount sinks. If you are having it INSTALLED IN NEW CONSTRUCTION: word to the wise - protect it from construction workers. Some workers put deep scratches in it before I ever got to use it. I haven't put a single scratch on it since moving in so they must have been VERY careless.

Even though we had the same size sink in before my husband had to do some cutting to fit it in,alittle frustrating for him

Installation went well. The first time dishes were washed in the sink, there were many scratches. We had a stainless sink that this sink replaced. Our sink did not scratch so easily.
Also in California you must use an above counter air gap. I had to drill a hole for that purpose and I understand that voids the warranty on the sink. Should not sell a single hole sink in California.

This super large stainless sink has really updated my kitchen. And the practical benefits of one deep sink way outweighs having a double one. Rather than remove all my counter top tile for quartz -- I decided to replace older sink, faucet, appliances and keep existing tile. Tile is probably on its way back stylewise anyway after a decade of ubiquitous granite. This sink is ideal for a 36 inch cabinet box. Very pleased.
