I cannot believe something so simple and so quick can have such amazing results.
I had looked up reviews on Amazon for a product we saw advertized on tv. That product had bad reviews but I saw a listing for this brand of product below the other one and it had 5 stars.
Didn't want to order online so I went to homedepot.com and searched. It found the product in my store and also told me which isle it was on. That was pretty cool.
It took a couple hours including drying time and using Howard Feed & Wax. We have had our front doors redone by a "professional" but to be honest what I did with this product is better than what the pro did.
I am hoping this holds up for a while. Even if it doesn't I will just do it again. I will maintain with the Feed & Wax.

After 14 years of living in our home that had been brutalized by two sons, we decided to do some updating. After painting the walls, the woodwork just looked that much worse! A friend of mine recommended Howard's Wood Finish Restorer...saying how easy it was to use and that it made wood look great again, and she was 110% right. I just wish that I had a "before" shot of this bathroom door, but I think it now looks absolutely fabulous! We restored all of the woodwork in our home with Howard's!

I had had used this product a few years ago in helping some friends put their house on the market and was very impressed.
Since then I have been trying to talk my parents into letting me do the oak cabinets in there kitchen. My father was very skeptical,he thought I would destroy them,(finally), they relented. I just finished them and they look like new ! I also used the conditioning feed-n-wax, and replaced the cabinet hardware. It transformed the whole kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Nick GREAT AND EASY TO USE PRODUCT
I recently inherited a beautiful old mahogany bedroom set from my fiancee's uncle and wanted to refinish it but didn't presently have the time or money to strip down and refinish 5 pieces. I went out looking for the Howard feed-n-wax, which I have used before and would highly recommend as well, and came across the restore-a-finish. Came home and got right to work and I must say the results were instant and amazing. Between the restore-a-finish and the feed-n-wax (and some rags... make sure you have LOTS of rags handy) I spent about $30 and less one day transforming my bedroom set into furniture that looked almost freshly refinished. Things like dents and deeper gouges obviously still remain, but that only adds character, and otherwise the pieces literally look brand new. The restore-a-finish deepens and darkens the color just enough, and the feed-n-wax really shines it up and deepens and warms the grain patterns beautifully. I would definitely recommend both products in conjunction and can testify that with 30 dollars and 1 day you can get about 90% of the results that otherwise require a full stripping, sanding, staining and sealing (which will run you 100+ dollars and probably over a week, if not 2.) Only issue is the restore a finish will dry and stain floors so put down some drop cloths (which is a fine compromise since you can basically completely restore your antique furniture where it stands!)

Rated 5 out of 5Â by SecondHandJ Don't strip or sand your old furniture!
I thought about sanding and all that to an old desk I picked up second hand for a bargain price. It's over 50 years old and it had a lot of marks, scratches, water marks, but it was solid wood and I wanted to restore it. But I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO SAND & do a lot of work. Just by chance I saw a consignment shop note about Restor-A-Finish, they raved about the product. I went on You Tube and saw how easy it was so I bought it. And in less than 45 minutes the desk was restored! Later that day I went back to Home Depot and bought the Howard product with bee's wax ( I forget the name of it) I followed the directions and the desk looks great!
If you are thinking about stripping, sanding and all the rest, don't do it. Buy this product. It's GREAT!
