Used this on my 1979 Hatteras convertible, my interior wood work was beginning to fade and I was dreading the money I would be spending on refinishing an entire boat. I found this in a old cabinet and applied to a small area I loved it so much I coated the entire inside wood finish looks like new. I'm thinking those who have issues with this product probably are trying to apply this to a plastic piece of furniture. Works great on real wood.

Had guests coming and cabinets looked awful. We wanted something quick. The store employee suggested a refinishing kit which looked good, but was pricey, time consuming, and would hide the finished wood we liked. So the wife saw this and we tried it. It took maybe 2.5 hours, but I finished all the kitchen using maybe half the can and it's not perfect, but things look SO MUCH better. It basically looks like you spread water across the wood, but it doesn't stop looking like that when it drys. Simplest thing I've ever done as a home improvement with the only minor complexity being using steel wool on one area that had heat damage. Absolutely awesome product that was 1/10 the cost and probably 1/10 the time of the alternate option. Will have to see how long it protects it, but looks good so far.

Simple to use and did well with steel wool in getting old crusty junk off of the antique piece I'm restoring. So much better than sanding and starting over with the finish. I love this stuff!

Tried this product on an old veneer dining room table, as refinishing really wasn't an option with the veenered surface. There were a lot of superficial scratches, fading, white rings, scorch marks, etc on the top. This product did nothing to hide them or even dimish the marks. I tried both suggested methods - using a soft cloth and using fine grit sand paper. Waste of money, time, and effort as far as I am concerned.

Used this product on my mother's mid century modern Lane hope chest. The original finish was pretty beat up. it had lots of water marks and some deep scuffs and scratches. I applied the Restor a Finish using the steel wool method. It went on easily and dried beautifully. I followed it with the recommended wax and am very pleased with how it looks. ALMOST as good as new!

This product has saved me countless hours of refinishing a dining room set: table, chairs, hutch and sideboard! I just wiped in on and the transformation was amazing! Very impressive. I was reluctant because I tried that other restore product (on tv) and it's no different than Pledge or old English-type stuff.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Restorer Do Not Use This Product!!!!!
This product, while seeming on the surface to take care of scratches and finish loss areas, actually ruins your furniture finish. It is a colored oil/dye in a very powerful solvent that penetrates the wood and finish and permanently ruins your finish. Ask any furniture restorer, and they will tell you that this product makes it impossible to do any proper finish restoration after this has been applied. You can only keep applying this oil to the finish for the life of the object unless it is stripped and refinished. As usual, what appears to be a quick easy fix actually terms out to be just the opposite!!!
