Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very easy and versatile installation; excellent protection This enclosure is very easy to install over an existing outlet, switch, or any other kind of electrical device, with dozens of different cutouts to match just about anything. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically (I have one each so far) and keeps whatever is inside completely dry, even when exposed to direct rainfall. I have used one to plug in a heated birdbath for five years so far, through some very heavy snowfalls, and the plug inside has never even gotten damp. I have never had a problem with the cover staying closed, and I am very GLAD it is easy to open. One of my outlets is in such a hard-to-reach location that I would hate to have to wrestle with a stiff latch to get it open. Besides, gravity will keep the cover closed even without a latch, unless you are trying to cram a huge plug or monster cord inside, in which case this is the wrong product. The same manufacturer makes a version with a deeper cover (see related product below) for situations like that. October 7, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Versatle, quick, easy to install I wish the personnel in the LaGrange, GA store were as capable as the product! May 8, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great outdoor protection of outlets from water, rain, snow, moisture This is a good product for outdoor use where water can short out a socket. The cover is deep enough for heavy duty extension cords. December 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product Have purchased several for around the outside of the house. Would like to see it in white or maybe my store doesn't carry it in white but overall totally satisfied! Keeps the weather off the connection so I can run all my Cristmas toys this year. Thanks Home Depot!! November 17, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Install / Easy to Use Easy to Install / Easy to use. Great for updating older receptacles June 6, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy install, could be deeper This was easy to install. Removed the old plate, which was an outdoor with flip covers, loosened the box screws and slid this box on. Only issue is if you have a cord with a very heavy duty, long, flexible plug, the lid on the box doesn't want to stay closed. A half inch deeper would've solved that. However, it's an easy work-around. All in all, a good product. I feel better with the receptacle covered. May 29, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product This product works very well to keep my outdoor GFCI dry while the receptacles are easily usable. Prior to this I used the metal covers, that when a cord was plugged in they were susceptible to rain. June 26, 2012
