CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not really designed for Hampton Bay fans Bought one yesterday after clerk assured me it would work with Hampton Bay fan. It had no sticker or barcode but is listed on website as Hunter. It has pipe threads and the fan does not but the pin and set screws work ok. Also the brushed nickel color is not nearly as bright and nice as the fan. Another negative is the threaded hole in the downrod is not the same size as the shorter downrod that comes with the fan so the grounding wire screw will not work with the downrod. Had to search my toolbox for a screw that was smaller. I made this downrod work but suspect that it might be partially responsible for fan wobble since it is really not a perfect fit for Hampton Bay fans. Curious why Hampton Bay does not offer downrods for their own fans. January 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great quality Finish coat seams thick. I through it in the back of my truck for a week and finally found it stuck under the seat. It did not hav e as rath on it and most of the plastic wrap was missing. It looked exactly like the original stubby rod just longer. Installed without a problem. July 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works and looks great. This extension downrod worked great with the fan I installed for my high ceiling great room. May 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works better than the fan that it's attached to The rod is great. I only wish I could say the same about the fan. December 20, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Product worked well This was the perfect length to move our fan down from the ceiling so that the fan would work properly. Price was very reasonable. January 14, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Paint Clogs Threads I've put up 10 fans over the past year with these downrods. Starting a couple months ago the quality control started to get really lax. The last three downrods that I have bought have full paint (powder coating) over the threads. This means you can't screw them all the way into the fan without spending considerable time removing the paint from the threads - for me that means about an hour with a dremel. It didn't used to be that way. Home Depot please stop painting the threads! August 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking rod was difficult to thread into my ceiling fan receptacle in order to get the pin hole aligned. had to use a pipe wrech for the last couple of turns. May 28, 2013
