We already made two trips to Halifax from

Truro to get the proper size that should be included to begin with. Where are we suppose to get ones with the threads only at one end.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked perfectly for our new Casablanca fan Our new Casablanca fan came with only a 3" mounting pole. Our contractor told us that the more space between the ceiling and the fan blades, the greater the amount of air the fan will move. Always being in favor of more air than less air, we bought this extension. It was easy to install (since our contractor did it, what could be easier ...for me?), it matched the finish brushed nickel finish (everyone makes a brushed nickel), and it looks like it came with the fan. And it didn't cost much...about $10. So 5 stars all around. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Tip for High ceiling rooms The extra length rod was perfect for the high ceiling installation. It matched the ceiling fan finish perfectly and looks great! March 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Deceptive Downrod Downrod did not extend distance from ceiling by 12" because I had to discard the 4" rod that came with the ceiling fan. Thus, I only got net extension of 8". Also it came with no instructions and I ended up taking it to local Home Depot where, with great difficulty, their rep managed to get it figured out. There was no ground screw as on original 4" rod and other difficulties as this extension was not manufactured by the company that made the ceiling fan and was thus not quite compatible. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great quality Finish coat seams thick. I through it in the back of my truck for a week and finally found it stuck under the seat. It did not hav e as rath on it and most of the plastic wrap was missing. It looked exactly like the original stubby rod just longer. Installed without a problem. July 23, 2014
