Hello Tato, You will operate the ceiling fan by moving the fan speed slider to the desired speed. Dim the light fixture by raising the light dimmer slider to the desired light level. The fan and light are turned Off at the bottom position. Thank you!

Is it compatible with Hunter fan Model # 51048?
Asked by: faceless
Hello faceless, Yes, the dual slide wall control will be compatible with the Louden model fan as long as you have 3 way wiring at the light switch. If you do not have that kind of wiring, look at our line of Universal Remote controls at this link http://thd.co/2nnQ6Zp. Have a great day!

All-Fan 3-Speed Fan/Light Dual-Slide Ceiling Fan Control is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 85.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from No good! I have officially purchased two of these things and neither of them last very long. The little switch snaps off the plastic cheap.! Spend a little bit more money and get something good that will last you.

Con: Poor quality of the slider switch. The plastic piece breaks off after about a year of daily use. The fan side lasts, but you don't use it every day throughout the year. If you turn the light on and off each day, it will barely last past the warranty which is only one year. I have replaced this switch three times since installing the ceiling fan and light about 5 years ago. The only reason it was 5 years and not less was because we made do with the broken slider until I got around to fixing it. You know ladies, if a man tells you he will fix something, he will. There is no need to remind him every 6 months... What can I say, I was missing my Round Tuit. When it works, its pretty awesome. Smooth slide action, consistent dimmer levels. Hunter: I am disappointed in you. Your name means more than this poor quality switch! Unfortunately, there are few better alternatives out there, so at least it is easy to replace. That is why I give it a two-star "fair" rating. Cheap plastic slider (-3 from 5), aggravation from regular replacement (-1), but easy to install (+1) = 2 Star.

I have purchased 10 of these in the past three years for my two houses. Dimmer operates with most types of bulbs, is linear, and the three speed fan control does not add any noise to the fan at any speed. I only rated this with four stars instead of five because one of the knobs broke on one of the ten I have bought. A great product.

If you have separate power for both the fan speed and fan light available to your ceiling fan, this is a great working solution and you'll never have to worry about losing the fan remote or changing batteries. Easy to install.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lacks durability I have replaced this switch in our master bedroom twice (on the third one now). If i didn't want to match the other bedrooms in the home, I would switch to a different type of fan/light switch. It works great, looks good, easy to use. But the plastic sliders fail over time. They should be made of a more durable material (perhaps metal with a plastic overlay finish). Eventually, the slider will begin to separate, then break off completely, rendering the switch unusable. Luckily, HD stocks them and they are easy to replace. We are average users, and are not rough on the switch. 3 years is the maximum life for this switch.
