The fan was of reasonably good quality and installed as easily as expected. I think some of the bits like cover pieces have cheapened a bit on Hunter fans over the years, but the use of plastic rather than metal doesn't show once the fan is up. We just hope this change doesn't reflect on quality of key components such as motors. In this case, the motor had a bit of a buzz, unlike very silent Hunters we've installed in other homes. We are using the fan in our TV room so a little buzz will not matter, but might have returned it if we'd wanted it for a bedroom. In any other room, it is quite usable.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Greg Easy install and works good
Very easy install. We used the ceiling mount option and it looks and works good. We didn't need much light, however, the two 60 watt bulbs put out enough light for what we need. Only recommendation is that if you need to use the long screws, use different ones that come with fan,...heads on stock ones strip very easy.

The switch is very hard to pull. I am afraid the chain is going to break when I try to turn on/off or change fan speed.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by wvabob Nice look. Runs fairly quiet so far. Good for a small bedroom or office.
Ordered this on line and it arrived in 3 days. Shipping was about 3 bucks. Can't beat that. As is usually the case when buying on line, you have to hope the colors and finishes end up looking like product pictures. I'm pleased to say that this product matched up well with what was displayed on line. We were looking for fan blade colors that would blend well in a guest bedroom which has refinished mahogany furniture. The fan blades on this fan are of a darker variety and blends really well, as does the oiled brass finish. We found the Hunter claim of a "5 minute fan" and the simplicity of install a bit overstated to say the least. But I'm sure few people believe that. The biggest negative for us was the cheap screws that were provided. I had to run to Depot and pick up a set of 10/32" threaded screws to properly attach the fan to the ceiling base. The screws that came with the fan were either the wrong size or the wrong thread pattern. Couldn't even force them on. Hunter could do better on product QC. That killed any chance of this thing going up in 5 minutes. With it up and running now we are very happy with it. Runs smooth and quiet and looks good.
