Hello Pat and thank you for your question.
The Hunter Augusta 52 in. New Bronze Ceiling Fan is designed to have a light fixture installed. The light kit is attached to the switch housing and must be installed for proper operation. Additionally you should only use the multi-staked light fixture supplied with this fan model.

I used dimmable Cree LED light bulbs along with a Hunter fan remote dimmable device with this fan, but it is not dimming the lights. Is this fan dimmable?

Answer:
Hunter uses candelabra base bulbs and state a max. wattage of 60 watts for each of the two bulbs you put in. However, I use CFL candelbra base bulbs that are equal to a 75 watt bulb.

Thanks for the inquiry regarding model number 25818. Hunter recommends use of 14 watt CFL base bulb only for proper use of the unit. Thanks for choosing Hunter.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 38 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the style, color, and quality - it's a Hunter! We liked the bronze finish and the darker colored blades. Installation was pretty straight forward except the directions were not clear on which black wire (solid black or black with white stripe) went to the fan and which one went to the light fixture. This was important because I have two switches - one for the fan and one for the light. I had to hook one of the black wires up to see if it controled the fan or lights. Other than that, it's a Hunter so installation was easy and I had no problems or issues. I added a one-foot down rod due to our ceiling being vaulted. Fan was very quiet when running - even at full speed, and was well-balanced . . . no wobbling. I did not use the light bulbs that came with the fan as they were the ugly spiral CFL bulbs. I used a more decorative CFL instead. December 28, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Only Installs if Junction Box mounted to wood My home was built with the junction boxes that utilize the metal bracket between floor/ceiling joists. This fan install requires that you install the ceiling plate by screwing pilot holes through the junction box into WOOD supports. Then, you attach the ceiling plate to the junction box with 3" wood screws into the wooden ceiling support. I have a metal rod holding the junction box between the joists, so I can not install this fan without remodeling. I'm replacing an existing fan...have installed numerous fans in my life....not real happy with this new install method. Needless to say, not 5 minuites for me. Apparently, the 5 minutes is because the fan blades snap together. February 4, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by NOT a 5 minute fan install This fan is very pretty, works great and looks great in my room. The only ease I found with this fan is the blade install. The rest was a PAIN. no where in the directions does it explain how to install the fan with an extended downrod. You must disassemble the small downrod and re-attach the ball to the new one. This information would have been helpful and saved a lot of trial and error! I have installed 4 other fans in my house of a different brand and they went up a lot quicker. Do not go into this expecting 5 minutes and you are done or you will be disappointed. November 25, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by What a pain! I have owned several Hunters. All have installed easily and worked with no issues. Not this one. First, the cowling screws would not thread into the mounting plate properly (which holds up the entire fan). I finally got them in but not without much trouble. Just never had that problem before. Second, the fan wobbles excessively. I know there's a balancing kit in there, but again, never had that happen before. Not sure if I'll take the time to use the balancing kit or just return the whole thing, but needless to say, I'm not satisfied with it September 10, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan! I have installed two of these fans in my home. They are beautiful and easy to install. If you have a dimmer switch for the light, you will need to replace it or replace the bulbs that come with the fan. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that there were defects with the 2nd fan I bought and I had to take it back to the store. Home Depot had no problems exchanging it for another one. However, the replacement one had a broken bulb and was missing the pull chains so I had to go back to ask if I could take items from the first box. I had no issues whatsoever with the first fan I bought. I have no experience whatsoever in doing home repairs and it took me about 45 minutes each to install them. Very doable and they are beautiful! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the Black Friday price. Let's face it... (all) fans basically do the SAME thing with the same features! (except for maybe a remote) Price is mostly set by style.....This is a normal / decent fan that is quiet and moves (a little above average) air. Installation was straight forward. (EXCEPT) the instructions do not tell which hot wire is the fan and which is the light (nor are the wires marked - as is USUALLY the case!) Needed to know for wall switch for light and pull chain for fan!!) The best feature of this fan (to replace a failed 15 year old "brand x" fan was the Black Friday price (and) the "white light shades -- NOT the (IMO) stupid "amber" colored globes that are starting to be the "norm" now-a-days.... - which cast a very un-natural light color into a room. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap Loose Blade Connection My original Hunter Fan went out. I purchased this unit. The Blades are supposed to just snap in place, but they don't. They're actually loose. This must be the design of the "Five Minute Install" Models. I called Hunter, they told me the blades are supposed to be loose. I won't buy a Hunter fan with the "Easy Blade Connections or Five Minute Install" again. Good luck if you purchase any of these ceiling fan types from Hunter. I'm waiting to hear if they have a life time warrantee on my failed ceiling fan. September 21, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Looking Fan But.... Fan looks nice, is quiet, and installation went fine. Problem with the fan is the air movement. I have five other fans in my house, and this one gives significantly less air movement than my other fans. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the air movement with the highest speed on this fan is equal to the medium or middle setting speed on his other fan(s). That statement is certainly true in my case also. August 11, 2013
