I love the fan. I do not like the light kit with it. Can I purchase a different light kit/assembly?

The fan is beautiful and fits in our room perfectly. However, I do not like the light being cast upward into the fan blades as this unit does. I want the light to be cast down into the room. Please advise as to which light assemblies/kits are compatible.

Answer:
Unfortunately, the way this fan is built, you cannot use another light kit. Some of the other models do.

We are pleased to hear you're enjoying the aesthetics of your new fan. Unfortunately model 21325 was not designed for interchangeable light kits. There are no compatible light kits for the 70' Brayden.

Hello Nat and thank you for your question.
You will need to install the light kit on the Hunter Brayden Indoor Northern Sienna Ceiling Fan. The light fixture is a part of the lower switch housing as shown on page 14 of the Installation Guide: http://www.hunterfan.com/uploadedFiles/Support/Owners_Manuals_and_Parts_Guide/45037.pdf.
Best wishes with your project.

Seems the light assembly went out on the fan (all the bulbs are out and they did not go out one by one). How can I obtain a replacement light assembly for the fan? The fan part works fine.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Thank God it's no longer sold! Made the biggest mistake ever in purchasing this fan. I got better airflow from a mosquito in the room. July 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BEAUTIFUL! Once I saw this fan, it was love at first sight. It was a little more than what we wanted to spend, but I'm so glad we purchased it. When we got home, my husband assembled it, and it took him 2 hours to put up, and to get the old fan down. This was his first time doing this, so that is why it took so long. I was expecting the fan to be a little bit faster for the 'fast speed' because it is a 70ft, but other than the time it took to assemble, and the speed of the fan, it's perfect. It looks expensive, high quality, and is very quiet while running. If you are thinking about buying this, don't hesitate, you won't regret it. June 24, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by impressive ceiling fan The installation of this product was pretty easy, 30-40 minutes. I did use an 18" downrod and the breeze is actually fairly strong. I did replace the CFL bulbs that come with it with incandesent light bulbs just so I could put it on a dimmer switch. Great light, not too bright and very indirect. No wobble or noise. In fact I've left several times and it was so quiet I forgot about it and left it on. One downside is you can see some wrinkles on the fan blade laminate. Makes it look cheap for the price paid. Functionality is outstanding, fan blade wrinkles not so much. July 21, 2010
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent fan, good price for the size & features. For its size and it comes with a light kit, this fan is a good buy. It also looks great in the 21' x 22' room (with an 8' ceiling) that I have it in. However, it does not push the air well enough for this size room. Part of this issue is probably due to the 8' ceiling height, it would most likely do a better job if the ceiling height is 10' to 14' (in a room 20' x20' & larger). It went up quickly, it's quiet and I didn't even need to balance it when I was finished. Over all, I would recommend this fan to friends & family. October 5, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 70 inch Ceiling Fan The ceiling fan the builder installed in the master bedroom was not sufficient. We have a 12 foot ceiling in the bedroom and needed a fan that not only "fit" the room size but worked well enough to feel the breeze. We replaced the ceiling fan with this 70 inch Hunter fan and am very pleased. Not only is it quiet, but we can feel the breeze while lying in bed. A larger bedroom definitely needs a larger ceiling fan. We have purchased Hunter before and it was the only ceiling fan we even considered. April 30, 2011
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Missing screws and damaged Bought this fan a few days ago, had to drive 20 miles to a different store to find it in stock. They had two in stock, both of the boxes looked pretty beat up. We picked the better looking box. After taking this home, we opened the box. I noticed right away that the fan blades were damaged by the poor packing design (fan blades rest on metal with only the thin plastic between it). As we were planning on using the other side of the blade I figured this wasn't too bad. I got ready to mount it to the ceiling, but couldn't find any screws. My wife and I took all the parts out, NO SCREWS! Not just the ceiling mount hardware was missing, but all of it was missing. While we were pulling everything out of the box we noticed that the top of the motor housing was also damaged - it had scratches and a dent. Returning it today and hoping that the next package is in better shape. August 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Quiet We replaced a ceiling fan in our master bedroom. I went with this fan because we have a large room. The fan is very quiet and moves a good amount of air on high. The medium does not move much air in my opinion. It took me 2 hours to put it together and hang it. That was taking the other fan down as well. We changed out the builds for 100 watt instead of the 60 CFL that came with the fan because this is the main light in the bed room.. January 21, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fan is Beautiful - light is terrible The fan is outstanding and beautiful in our large master bedroom. Is set on a 6foot rod . The room has a cathedral ceiling. However, the light is cast upward into the fan blades. If you have the light on and run the fan simultaneously, it creates an irritating strobe light effect. So irritating that I am considering taking it down and returning it. I am trying to determine if the light kit can be changed, but it is not looking promising. April 26, 2012
