I actually had a professional electrician do the job. He had no problems, and all three fan units look and operate perfectly. The electrician suggested connecting the light/fans to remote control units, and each room now has a unique remote for the installed lamp/fan. The blades in the Brookline model just match the wood in my livingroom furniture, so the whole ceiling unit fits right in. The opposite side of the blades in the other fans match the wood in the bedroom and office. Very versatile! The antique brass metal canopies and downrods on all the units are very classy. I got the fans installed to modify the summer heat, and I put them all to good use this past weekend of 90 degree temperatures. And they all perform quietly, as advertised. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unfortunate confusion or mistake on light bowl. Otherwise, wonderful. I bought this white Brookline fan, along with a bronze of the same model, for two different rooms. Both said in their descriptions that they had a "white swirled marble glass bowl." The underlying specs, I now see, say there is a "scavo" bowl for the white fan. An electrician installed them, and I was appalled to see that the white fan has a brownish-colored bowl (when the lights are on), not a white one like the bronze fan has. It looks particularly unattractive since the fan and fan blades are bright white, making the bowl look dirty. If this is indeed the proper glass bowl for this fan, then I need to buy one that is really white to replace it. Aside from that unsightly problem with the white fan, the fans are wonderful. They installed easily (according to the electrician) and work silently. Except for the aesthetics (and accompanying lack of brighter light) I am very pleased. Can someone tell me if I got the wrong bowl? Either way -- i.e., free as a mistake or paid because I should have figured it out -- I want to replace it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awsome I've installed about 15 ceiling fans and the quality and ease of this one surpasses my expectations , the only issue was with the remote it's to big , not enough room to mount in the housing, I recommend notching a hole in the sheet rock and lay it up there and leave the antenna part in the housing, note all the remote antenna's look to be the same size Home depot's team out does Lowe's team in experience thanks Home Depot sincerely Jaime

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hunter makes nice fans. The fan was not flush mountable, as stated in the description. But, it is really attractive. We had to get up in the middle of installation and go to Lowes (it's closer) for additional screws and then had a few other pieces left over. The instructions should have had a parts list, but it didn't. Still, I'm happy with the fan until the perfect one is invented.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan, and very quiet! I needed a ceiling fan for the guest bedroom due to the heat wave this summer, and this fan was better than expected. I had bought one from Lowes first because there was no Home Depot where I live. It was a different brand, and it was so noisy I immediately took it down and back to Lowes, and ordered this one. It has a beautiful finish, extremely quiet and put out plenty of circulation. I love Hunter fan, have had them before, and will never buy anything but Hunter from now on after the fiasco of the Harbor Breeze at Lowes. Installation was not too difficult and ran into no problems or missing parts. It just takes a bit of time and assembly. Worth the 30 minutes it took to get it up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality for Hunter I typically purchase Hampton Bay products, but thought I would "upgrade" to Hunter. Bad choice. Assembly was about the same as any ceiling fan, except working space seemed tighter than other ceiling fans. The worst part was that the holes for the decorative cover were not tapped all the way through, so when the retaining screw was inserted, it jammed. I hoped I could torque it through the hole, but instead broke off the screw. Of course that was the last step in putting up this fan. I will give Hunter a compliment that the motor is very quiet, but will most likely go back to Hampton Bay. The glass dome is supposed to be frosted, but it is very spotty. Very poor quality in the finishes
