Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great ceiling fan My wife and I purchased a house that was stuck in the '80s, complete with gold fixtures EVERYWHERE. This fan was our choice for our master bedroom. The Channing fan is very sharp looking and was a breeze to install. Sold on Hunter fans! Great product for the money. March 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SUPER FAN I have put in probably 100 ceiling fans either for myself, friends, or while working for a handyman service and this on is spot on. Easy to install, very sturdy mount, hangs in place securely while wiring fan, and lights are plenty bright. I installed an in the wall remote for this as well since it is in the kitchen/dining area and I didn't want to chance loosing the remote. It also worked just fine. Love the looks of the fan once installed. I went with the nickel and black blades. Great finish to a kitchen remodel. June 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful fan, problematic installation Installation: took about 2-3 hours to fully install. There were a lot of problems with some of the holes the screws had to go in. Simply put, some of the screws would not go in because of metal burrs in the holes. After using a tap on the problematic holes, installation was a breeze. Specs: This fan was put in a 16ft x 12 ft room with sloped ceilings and fit perfectly (I was worried it would be too big since the previous fan was 46in and this one is 52in). When the fan is on the fastest setting, it really does go FAST! When it's on that setting, it gives off a lot of airflow, but it also wobbles a little. It comes with four 40 watt candelabra bulbs which give off an average amount of light. The blades are black on one side and dark brown on the other. This fan was installed with the black blades facing down. The pull chains in the pictures are not the original ones this fan comes with but they are also from home depot (search Westinghouse Brushed Pewter Pull Chain). Such a beautiful fan. April 23, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fan Speeds The fan speeds seem like they could be faster. The top speed is comparable to our old ceiling fan's middle speed. The lowest speed is not worth the electricity to move the blades. May 18, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poorest quality fan ever I purchased this fan it's a great looking fan. However, it is a dud. The speeds on fan are not up to par. I have the fan on high to cool off the room during the day and at night I like medium speed. When I have it on medium speed it works as if I have it on slow. The air is barely being circulated. The slow speed barely moves. I am so disappointed with this fan. I purchased another fan at a lower price and it works perfect. July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great deal This ceiling fan is very quiet . We got a great deal. Will always buy Hunter fans from now on. July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Looking Fan Nice looking fan and very quite. I like it very much. July 20, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Strong odor At $100 a piece, these fans look good but at $20-$30 more expensive than the competition, I wouldn't say it's worth it. They pump plenty of air for a 100-200sqft area imo but they required a longer install time than the $140 60in fan I put in also. Assembling and attaching the blades takes up the majority of the install time. The biggest downfall, they smell. While installing I kept getting a chemical/burn whiff. Initially I was worried I didn't cut the power and was about to get zapped. That night after I let it run for awhile to check the balancing on one, I noticed the air coming down from it had that over powering odor I had smelled previously. Checked the other fans and they too had the same smell. 12hrs of continuously running and the smell still persisted until it was turned off. Maybe it will dissipate over time, but other reviews of Hunter fans lead me to think it is there to stay. Be ready to have irritated sinuses for some time after installation. May 8, 2015
