Answer:
It depends on how you connect the wiring. If you have a switch that provides one lead with current while the switch is turned on and a second lead with current when the switch is turned off, you can set it up with the night light off when the main light is on and on when the main light is off. If you don't have that, you could run a separate circuit for the night light. If you have a switch on that Read More

If you don't have that, you could run a separate circuit for the night light. If you have a switch on that circuit, you can use the switch to control when the night light is on. The owners manual shows some options. One shows how to wire it with the fan on one circuit with a switch and the main light and night light on a second switch which gives current to the night light when in one position (on) and to the main light when in the other position (off). It also shows a configuration with fan and light on the same switch and night light on a second switch. I wired mine with fan on one switch and ceiling light on second switch and did not connect the night light since I did not have a lead that had current when the switch was off and did not need the night light. Answer:
Hello Chip, Great question. The night light can be wired to a separate switch, so it is not running all the time. Please review the manual under "Info and Guides" for visuals. Thanks!

How easy will it be to change the light bulb?

I used the zoom to look closely at the unit and what looks like screws on the face are smooth, so maybe they are just decorative? My husband would be very angry with me if he has to change a light bulb and
it is difficult to do.

Answer:
It is fairly easy to change. You don't have to undo any screws. You push up on the cover glass and slide it to the side in the same direction that the 3 bolt heads on each side point. It will move in only one of the two possible directions. If you have it raised up properly, it moves about an inch and stops. That unlocks it and puts it in position for you to lower it down. Then you slowly lower it down Read More

It will move in only one of the two possible directions. If you have it raised up properly, it moves about an inch and stops. That unlocks it and puts it in position for you to lower it down. Then you slowly lower it down and it comes off. After changing the bulbs you reverse the process to put the cover back on. If someone installs it for you, it is best to get them to show you how it works as that is better than trying to describe it. The cover has two horizontal bars inside that fit into slots in the plate above. Once you get it apart, you can see how it works. After getting the bars positioned in the slots and raised up, you slide it to the side in the direction it will move and it drops down into its locked position. I usually have to work with it a little to get it in the proper position and get it to move like it is supposed to. Read Less

Answer:
Hello, This is one of the easiest units to replace light bulbs, which makes it great. It doesn't require unscrewing. Simply push the glass up (detaches from hinge), and slide forward approximately .5"; then it'll come right off. It uses a hinge/spring loaded removable cover instead of screws.
Thanks again

The manual is extremely poor in that respect and it only shows 1 switch in the instructions.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful!! Quality is spot on, easy installation and received from supplier in pristine condition October 6, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good FAN, BAD Stainless steel We bought this fan for out newly remodeled bathroom and it works well. After just one year we started to notice the buttons and side of the light housing were rusting. I took the light fixture off and the inside was rusted bad. Going to see if we can get it warranted. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best fan for the price I work as a handyman so I install a lot of vent fans. These hunter ones are my favorite. Unlike almost all other vent fans, these have built in mounting hardware that makes it really easy to replace an old fan from below without having to carve up the ceiling. They are well built with good components and have a nice sleek look. The one downside of this design is that dust gets sucked in and tends to collect on the glass, but they make it really easy to remove the glass without tools for cleaning that stuff up or changing bulbs. Unless your walls have some crazy wiring, or you feel like running wire, you probably won't be able to use the night light feature. For new construction you could easily install it that way though. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value Directions for Bathroom fan made installation a breeze. Fan motor is quiet and preforms well. October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good quality and attractive fan/light We just replaced an old, discolored plastic unit with this one. The fan is quiet yet efficient, and the look is a vast improvement over our old one! My parents always bought Hunter fans for their high quality, and I've done the same. We liked it so much that we bought another one for our other bathroom. We didn't install it ourselves - we had an electrician do it. April 21, 2015
