Rated 1 out of 5 by Wouldn't buy again I bought this fan one year ago. It's design is pretty and decorative with the stainless accents. The outside of the fan began to rust after 8 months or so. Why would they design a bathroom fan with materials that rust?? Now a year has gone by and the motor has died. Not a good purchase! October 16, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rusted & stopped working after a year. Purchased for its pleasing design/price. However, after just under a year the Unit was badly rusted, and shortly there after the fan just stopped working. May look nice, but it's extremely poor quality. I don't recommend this product. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Style and Function Ordered our first one of these about 8 years ago for our house in Georgia. Was very pleased with how quickly and quietly it cleared the bathroom of steam. Two years ago we remodeled our master bath at our home in Houston, and this was the model I chose; we turned a small bathtub into a large walk-in shower and wanted a light and exhaust fan directly above the new shower. Again, very pleased -- same great quality (no rust issues and fan is so quiet that I have left it on all day more than once because I couldn't hear it). Also like the two light levels available -- nightlight and bright -- which is great for choosing a little ambience in the shower. Now I need to replace the old fan over the toilet -- which sounds like a jetliner landing in the front yard -- and there is a standard light fixture right next to it. I have decided to replace both with yet another one of these, and will put one of those metal oops plates over the opening for the old light. October 27, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Doesn't do the job even in a small bathroom I purchased this fan because I wanted a fan that wasn't the white plastic with louver-style cover that so many seem to be. It is much better looking but the performance seems to suffer because of the design. Our bathroom is small, 6'x9'x8' so this 100cfm fan should have no problem keeping it ventilated. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Installed correctly we still have moisture on the ceiling after 20 minutes of leaving the fan running AFTER a shower. A fan shouldn't need to run more than 5 minutes after a shower. There is plenty of clearance under our door so the issue is not due to the fan not getting enough air to pull through. It seems that the style is disadvantageous to its performance. Guess I'll go look at the plastic louver types after all. August 5, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor ventilation, almost completely rusted over The only way I see this fan getting 100 CFM is with the cover off. With the cover on, it has a negligible effect on the humidity in the bathroom, and ours is positioned directly over the shower. It's also covered in rust. So now I need to decide between trying to refinish an ineffective bathroom fan, or purchasing another. Maybe if the cover hung down farther, or if there were holes in the glass, it might work a bit better. But as designed, it's useless. October 10, 2014
