I had a handyman install this fan, but it went in with ease in about an hour. The only draw back I can think of is I have both a light switch and a fan switch, but I was told you can't hook it up to the fan switch because of the remote. Not a big deal for me...I don't really need two switches anyway...I have a remote! Looks great in our living room and kicks a nice breeze. This is the first remote control fan I have owned, and I love it! No chain noise!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by James Great looking fan once installed
I am physcially disabled due to multible back surgeries, so installing a ceiling fan is a real effort on my part. This fan went up as easily as any other I have installed, the only diffucility I encountered was due to my not thourghly reading the installation instructions requiring me to uninstall, correct my mistake and reinstall fan. As for the remote, it has worked flawlessly for me, no complaints. Overall very satisfied with this product. Just be sure and read the installtion instruction thourghly!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by caseygirls0 Looks & works great, but the lighting is VERY dim
I love this product, the price was great (clearance for under $60) and remote was a must (love the feature). The lighting was very disappointing however. I am used to very well light area in my bedroom and notice I often have additonal lamps on to brighten the room. Over all is good but do not recommend if used to well light areas. Part of the motor did go out after a year make sure you register their warranty is awesome!!!

I had to write this reveiw in order for customers to continue to buy the fan. I had one problem with this fan and it was the installation, because the instructions were terrible. It took about two hours to complete the installation and my wife had to help me. I have installed at least 15 ceilings fans in my life time but this one by far was the most dillicult. I say that because the lack of instructions or poorly written instructions. I will say after we finish the installation, now when I look back on what went down I think I can follow the illustrations rather than the instructions. Finally I want to say this fan is a five but I will rate it a four because of the installation.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Doozer Decent fan but some issues...
Bought two of these last year and installed one. Installation was cumbersome and frustrating. Wiring does not support a dual wall switches so now I have a dead switch. Worked great for about 9 months but now the light flickers occasionally, not sure if this is a loose wire, failing bulb or a manufacturing quality issue. Since it was such a pain to install I'm reluctant to open it up and troubleshoot.
Opened the second box to install recently and noticed one of the 5 blade irons is missing. Called Hunter and now have to pay $38 for a full 5 blade iron replacement set since it's past warranty. Oh happy day...

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by exhunterfan recycled fan in new box
We bought 2 of these fans, they are the hardest Hunter fans we have ever installed. The second box did not have the insufficient instructions/booklets, nor were there any jumpers to be used with the remote and receiver. The box wasn't previously opened, so it had to be re-boxed. No inspection number included. We liked the style and they are quiet, but the black light fixture shows through the globe. They could have made a better product by using a white fixture to hold the bulb. The remote uses an unusual battery, not found at your big box stores. Will not buy any more Hunter fans.

Remote is awesome! Light is dimmable. Doesn't make all that much annoying noise. Fan speeds low and medium don't move as much air as you would expect. Other reviews were not kidding about the wiring being complicated and the directions quite difficult to understand. Mounting the fan to the ceiling was difficult. It became much easier when mounting fan to ceiling to prop weight of fan onto a tall bookcase insead of holding fan and trying to make all wire connections. Besides the wiring confusion madness and holding the weight of the fan above your head during installation - I would say if you can deal with that during installation - then you will be extremely satisfied with your purchase once the fan is installed.

I just boughgt it, and it gave the room a whole new look and feeling. It is really quiet. It moves alot of air.
BUT, if you don`t turn it off from the main light switch , it might start on its own. DO NOT turn it off only from the remote.
ALSO, they can design a bigger housing for the ceiling holder, where you also have the remote control antena, with roughly 11 wires and a reciever, it was a challenge to fit it all in.
For the next generation, they have to replace the light with a regular CFL sockets, instead of the chandellera light
