Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Deezee Great looking remote control fan
My contractor installed this Hunter fan in my kitchen; it has a remote which I love, so there are no chains hanging down over the table. He was able to wire it to a wall switch, so the light turns off and on with the switch, and I use the remote to control the fan and the dimmer switch for the light. My contractor attached the remote holder onto the wall, which is handy so that the remote does not get lost. Product is beautiful, and since it is a hunter product, very quiet fan. Very pleased with my purchase.

Good attention to detail. Very attractive. Quiet. Did not have to balance. Plan to buy one more for our den.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DIYGUY Great design, Poor Aesthetic lighting
Installed in large great room. Installation was easy and no need for drill, only used screwdrivers, wirecutters and pliers. Overall Aesthetically the fan is great and easy to assemble. Biggest draw back is the light bulbs. They are the poorest quality and dullest bulbs. We had to change out to brighter candelabra bulbs and still not that great. Trying LED's tonight. If that doesn't help, It's coming down and being replaced. The remote instructions are non-existent. You have have to hold the light button down to control the dim and brightness of the light. Fan speeds are easy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Marianne Terrific fan!!!
We purchased three of these fans because our downstairs is kind of open concept and I like things to match. The antique pewter color is a great compliment for our traditional decor. They take a while to put together and hang but the wait is worth it. We did not use the remote control and used the existing switches as we have multiple switches for each room. The light is not as bright as the lights in the fans we replaced but it is adequate. The airflow is good although on low it does not move much air. I would definitely recommend this fan.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by notanelectrician Should return
I thought this fan was a lot of work to install. The one i took down and re-installed in another room was a vintage 1990s model that i had never messed with. Took about 10 minutes total time to reinstall the old one. Called the technician and it turned out The receiver was faulty for the remote. hardwired it in without the remote and got it to run. Stood directly under it and immediately wondered if it was on reverse. Think they should've angled the blades a little. Maybe that it is why it is so quiet. Should be easier to take down and return. does look nice though so i may have an argument with the wife.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Angie Easy to use remote AND switch, this is what I did.
If your ceiling box consists of black(ungrounded), white(neutral), red(ungrounded), and copper(ground). the red should be controlled by the designated wall switch.
Instead of wiring the black from the ceiling box to wire labelled black (live in) on the receiver, attach the red wire instead and cap off the black. That's all there is to it. All other wires are as instructed. With this adjustment, I am able to switch on the fan/light with one wall switch and also adjust the speed and brightness with the remote.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Syn121 Beautiful fan except..
The fan looks great. The installation was not bad. The remote control is the main problem. It did not work out of the box. No other way to turn the fan or light on-off except by the remote. We called tech support to have a new one sent to us.. tech support guy was unresponsive and I had to repeat the issues several times. After waiting a week and not receiving the new remote we call again to find out that it was sitting there waiting to be sent out. Hopefully the new remote will work so that we can enjoy the ceiling fan. If I have to take it apart and return it I will never buy another Hunter Fan.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Ignore bad reviews, they didn't read the directions.
I have 5 of these fans, all work great!
First off, it takes time to install, but it looks great! You can wire it to a remote, (only uses a single switch unless you bypass it). I left it and it was awesome. The dimmer is great! You will see reviews about people complaining that there is no dimmer. You must set the remote to CFL on the back, and then you just press and hold and the light will dim. Fan is super quite and the low setting is perfect to have the air moving when you are trying to sleep. Great fan, great price, would HIGHLY recommend. I installed my first one with no knowledge of how to install a fan (it was my first fan installation ever!) Followed and read the directions, worked like a gem!
