Rated 4 out of 5 by Looks very classy I love the look of this ceiling fan! I replaced one that was from the 80's so a big improvement on the quietness and overall look. The one negative I have is with the light. I had the fan for two days and I kept trying to make light as bright as possible, but it would never go past barely on. I pushed the light button, I held the light button, but nothing worked. I turned it off completely, and waited several hours. I'm not sure why, but when I tried it at his point, it went on to full bright. I'm hoping this isn't the norm for this light, as that will be a bummer. I have a hunter fan in another room with a remote and this one is just very persnickety. I would definetly purchase this fan again! December 5, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not a good quality product I have had the fan less then a month. We have had nothing but trouble with the remote control unit since the first week. It first would just shut off. And then you could manually reset the fan by turning off light switch. After a few minutes it would reset the remote unit in the fan. Unfortunately it continued to get worse, and now it will not turn in at all. I replaced the battery for good measure. But all you here is an electronic switch trying to work when you use the remote. But nothing works. I have read more reviews on the hunter quality. And now would not vet buy one again. Stay away from the remote units that Hunter manufacturers. October 16, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice fan but terrible remote control system Great looking fan but unfortunately the remote control system has never operated correctly. After getting the fan installed and operating correctly with the remote, now this morning the remote will not operate the fan or light, will not shut-off. We installed it about a week ago and have had nothing but problems with it. Hunter needs to get back to building a great fan, like the old days, they are definitely not making with remote control system. November 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible Customer Service & Product New out of the box... Unable to pair remote. The fan runs on high & only turns off with the wall switch. Unable to use remote for low, medium or on/off. Light works fine. Wait time for Hunter tech service is 40 plus minutes. You can leave a message and they will call at their convenience. No response to my email after five business days. Finally reached them. They first sent new capacitor. Didn't make a difference. Then they sent new receiver. Still no difference. My electrician has checked & rechecked wiring. He followed wiring diagram that is supplied in manual. We have followed directions in the manual to try pairing the remote until our fingers are sore. Next step is to take it down & return it and hope to find another brand that comes in antique pewter. October 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by As always, Great ceiling fan As always, Hunter ceiling fans are a pleasure to look at and fairly easy to assemble and install as well as a good buy. The directions are fairly easy to follow. You need to follow the directions to the letter. There's no skipping around or taking short cuts. If you do follow the instructions, you won't have a problem. They make very good quality fans. Runs steady, quiet and without a wobble. The only problem with this model is the renote control. Unlike some of the after market remotes, this remote needs to come off the wall and held in your hand in order to aim it to make it work. I've used other after market controls, that clip to the wall, and you only need to hit the switch to control it, like a light switch. This is a little troblesome, but you have no choice, as it comes with the unit.
