Fan Wobbles on high speed

This question is from Heathrow 52 in. Brushed Nickel Ceiling Fan

My fan was professionally installed by a Home depot contractor and he noticed that on high speed the fan wobbles quite a bit. He has never seen a Hunter fan shake like this before. Is this normal on high speed ? He used the longer down rod if that helps solve the problem. All the screws were checked for tightness. What else can be done or should I return it for another. Thanks

Answer:
Our fan wobbled as well on high speed, normal speed it is fine. Did you try the balancing set that was sold with the fan? Otherwise if that doesn't work I would think at the high speed with the long fan blades it is bound to happen.

Answer:
Hello MJ,
There is not a remote that has the reverse option. The reverse switch is located on the switch housing assembly for the Heathrow model fan. Have a great day!

Heathrow 52 in. Brushed Nickel Ceiling Fan is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 114.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent fan at a good price Bought this fan and installed it the same day in less than 2 hours (including interruptions). It replaced a 26+ year old hunter fan that was making humming noises. It was easy to install without any complications as the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I noticed that the fan speeds were somewhat slower than the old fan but the resulting airflow was better. I attribute this to blade angle and design. You feel the coolness but not the "blast" of airflow. The fan is in our bedroom and is virtually noiseless. Craftsmanship is as expected for a Hunter fan. I have six Hunter fans of various ages and they all work great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and good looking Looks great! I would recommend this. It's quiet, good looking and a quality fan. The speeds look slow but put out lots of air.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Replacement Ceiling Fan This fan was easy to install but fan the blade assembly took longer than normal. Directions were easy to follow. The ceiling fan is exceptionally quiet. The fan was equipped with a second wire that can control the fans on and off function and light from separate wall switches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ceiling fan Easy to install, works great. Wanted a fan without a remote. Fan and lights are controlled by switches on the wall.

We purchased 2 of these fans and are very satisfied with the way they look (from a distance) and the way they work. On the down side, the blade connectors are made of plastic rather than metal, and though they look nice that detail is why this fan got 4 stars vs 5. Also, as we purchased these in very late Fall we haven't yet used the fan often so I cannot comment regarding its durability. Just a note, if you are replacing a Hampton Bay with this fan, you may have trouble fitting this ceiling mounting to the existing ceiling fixture. Nonetheless, we are pretty happy with them and feel they were worth the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hunter Quality? This was for a replacement fan. I paid more than I expected for supposed Hunter quality and was disappointed that, although all blades had same weight markings, the fan really wobbled on even med. speed. It took 2 weights on different blades to balance it. It spins silently luckily. I hope Hunter is not foregoing quality for cost. I am not sure I'd recommend this model at this price. On another note, why can't manufacturers design lights that don't look like they came out of the 1860's ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this fan. Already have two of these in my home and ready to install number three. Very attractive and quiet. Handyman installed fans. Only problem he ran into is one box was missing blades and light bulbs. Ran into problem when I returned as purchased 3 different fans at the same time and the checker did not scan each fan. Scanned one of the fans two times so of course the fan I needed to return was the one that was not on the receipt. This is on Home Depot but they did finally made it right.
