The high speed moves air as the low speed of other ceiling fans, light buzz when turning on. Do not waste your money with this one. I regret to bought 5 of them. Average instalation. Looks nice. Quiet. But if the main purpose is to move air, this one is the worst ever seen.

Awesome purchase, super quiet fan, maybe a tad bit overpriced. Easy to put together and install, loving the remote from the comfort of my recliner.

The remote control and switch included with the fan were previously used according to a licensed electrian. I am not happy that when buying a new product i receive a previously used one.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moonrunner High quality, low cost. Great fan!!
Used these (2) for replacement of old (nasty) fan in kitchen and over the table in dining area to replace a really bad lighting fixture. These fans are gorgeous. Ease of installation is remarkable. We chose not to wire for remotes (we didn't need) as that procedure is a bit complicated. We would never have used the remote anyways. No problem. Look great, work fantastic and absolutely NO WOBBLE !! Love them

Nice looking fan, operates very quietly as I would expect from a Hunter fan. Installation is above average difficulty. I installed 3 of these at the same time, on one of the fans 2 of the cfl bulbs burned out in less than a month.

This is my second Hunter fan purchase this month. I had to return the last one and I will be returning this one too. Lights buzz when turned on. HORRIBLE smell after fan was running. Google the problem. It is apparently well known.
I had all three fans installed by a professional. Both Hunters had major problems. I would stay away from this brand.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by aspiringDIYer Good, until receiver burns out
Bought 2 of these fans in 2011, and was very satisfied with them, until the receiver one day made a clicky noise and no longer turns on the light. It still works on the fan, but wont toggle the light.
Limited lifetime warranty states they only cover the motor for lifetime and everything else is 1yr. Looking up the part online, it costs $35 for the Hunter 89532 receiver. I think I will need to rewire this fan to skip the receiver (like another reviewer mentioned) just so I can have light temporarily.
Not sure whether to spend that amount to replace the receiver (which according to other reviews seems to be a common point of failure) or just buy a whole new ceiling fan altogether, since it may last longer.
Might be worthwhile to budget an additional $35 when considering this fan if its common that the remote receiver tends to fail.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by biophiliac Weak and annoying
This fan will move air around fine but if you want it to cool you down it is a joke. It may as well have one setting, for "high" is what low is on other fans.
Also, you should know that you can't control the power with the room switch alone. Once you flick the switch you then have to press buttons on the remote, even just for the lights ... annoying. There is a holder that allows you to place the remote directly over your light switch, which I guess is to try to prevent you from flicking it out of habit, however, the holder is cheap and flimsy and likely wont last long.
I'll be returning this and regret wasting 3 hours of my life installing it.
