Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Kayla 3 Out of 4 Fans Were OK
I bought 4 of these fans. After figuring out the first one, the second and third went up pain-free. The fourth one, however, was the same model but a different version! The installation was awful, and when all was said and done it didn't even work! When I took it back, I made sure to get the better version--you can tell them apart by the picture of the canopy on the box. The bad version has a separate ring around the top of the canopy. The good version is one solid piece. When I got the replacement home, one of the light sconces was broken. Luckily, Home Depot is awesome about returns/exchanges, so I was able to swap out the piece.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Asheville Quality lacking
If you want a fan with a remote control, DON'T buy this one. We bought 4 of these, for 3 bedrooms and a family room and the remote controls are iffy in all locations and the one in the family room is really bad. Also, the chain switch for the light broke in one. I called Hunter and said that the remote didn't work and that the swith for the light was broken. They said they would send a new light switch (which I got after about a month), and a new remote receiving unit, which I never got. If you need a fan with remote control, pick another brand.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by markchem Nice fan, poor installation instructions
The quality of the fan is fine, but there needs to be some proofreading by the company of the installation instructions. I double and triple checked the included instructions trying to find where to put the remote receiver under the canopy. I finally figured it out, but really, if you go to the trouble of writing a 15+ page instruction booklet, look over it and make sure all of instructions are there. Sure you can go youtube it, but really why should you have to?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HolyX Almost lost my man-card installing this, but YouTube came to my rescue
I was looking good installing this in front of my college student daughter. That is, until I couldn't figure out how to fit the remote control unit under the cover that hides all the wiring. Eventually I gave in and went to the Internet. A YouTube video gave me the answer I needed, the unit slides into the mounting bracket above all the other wires. With that solved, the installation finished quickly. The fan is quiet, doesn't wobble even a little bit. The lights are very soft, which I didn't expect from the compact florescent bulbs. I plan to purchase more Hunter fans for my home now that I have this first one up and running.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by firsttimehomeowner good fan but a few kinks
this fan looks amazing in my bedroom with my furniture, however the installation was a little difficult with the remote control panel. it fits very tight and has to be forced a little to go in that small space. now after the complete installation i noticed that when you use the remote the chains don't work and vice versa

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MrsMcGwire Love it!
It took many months of researching, shopping and reading to decide on this van. It's been one of the best purchases we've made for our home. It took about 45 minutes to install. The three lights light up our family room, which is 17 x 20, just as if it were in the middle of the day. I love how bright the lights are and it helps with moving the cold air from the air conditioning. I would very much recommend this fan.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by smesh fans/lights activate at random
I'll return this Hunter fan because of the following critical defect:
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
If you have wi-fi or portable phones nearby, the fans/lights will activate at random. Poor product design. No filtering of other products using the 2.4 Ghz spectrum. The dip switch solution is useless.
Note: This defect was posted on Hunter web site but I could not post link here because Home Depot doesn't allow to include links here in review.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HDGuy Overall value *****
I bought my first 2 in-store on sale. Father-in-law helped install them when we moved into our house and it was pretty straight forward.
Very satisfied so I bought a 3rd online (no longer on sale in-store and it was actually cheaper online at this point) - still worth the price. Delivery went smoothly. Installed the 3rd on my own - definitely easier with 2 pairs of hands but I was able to complete the job in about 1 1/2 hrs.
Very quiet, sturdy - almost no 'motor hum', zero wobble.
Great tri-mount options for low, high, or angled ceilings.
For those who want nit-picking:
the remote isn't beautiful, but it is simple and practical.
Not a recurring issue but there have been 2 or 3 different instances where the remote from the living room turned on the light in the bedroom. This has only happened with the light, not the fan. I checked the settings on both and everything was correct.
The highest fan speed doesn't seem to be as fast as the highest speed on other fans I've used in the past, but I would say it's high enough.
May be too quiet?? I've accidentally left them on in the rooms for over 24 hrs since you can't hear them. Also I got used to other ceiling fans drowning out noise at night - now I can hear my neighbors talking if they're on their back patio at night.
Bottom line: you could easily pay 1.5X more for the same thing.
