Answer:
Yes, the holder has holes that align with your switch cover plates so that you can mount your remote over the switch. You could also mount the holder wherever is most convenient.

Hello, I recommend Dimmable LED light bulbs you save on energy and they have a better dimmable quality than Dimmable CFLs and using Incandescent bulbs is just plain silly anymore.
Good luck and hope this helps you choose.

I may have already answered this earlier.
But it requires a Conventional incandescent bulb or I recommend a Dimmable LED/s.
There is another post I did for dimmable lamps with a wiring diagram.

Answer:
I would use a dimmable LED bulb also you will have to use it without the Remote and wire the motor separate from the Lamps or use a switch set mad for fans.
Hope this has helped.

I have two switches on opposite sides of the room. Each switch independently can turn my current fan on and/or off. If I want to adjust the fan speed or keep fan on but light off I need to use the pull chains. Can I do this with this fan also and forego the remote control?

Yes, this is what I did with my fan. Instead of wiring everything through the receiver, take the blue (light) and black (fan) wire and connect to your hot (black) wire/s of your electrical box. Hook the white wire from the fan into the white wire of your electrical box, and finally your ground wires from the fan, bracket, and electrical box.

Answer:
The wall switch will simply provide power to the fan by using it to turn the fan on & off. The remote will need to be used when you want to change the speed & use the lights.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 79 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hunter ceiling fan Remote looks like a child toy. Very light weight. Is knocked off table easily. Lights flashed when I turned on wall switch to access power with remote. Will never purchase a Hunter product. Hunter recommended I get s new light switch and new remote. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice Fans We had a handyman install these fans and he was very impressed. He said they were easy to install. We appreciate how quiet they are. We particularly like the remote controls that come with them. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan but the instructions are lacking regarding remote wiring The instructions are written with the assumption that you only have one switch wired to your fan in your house. Most new construction is wired with two switches, one for the light and one for the fan. If you have two switches, there is one (hot)wire (from the ceiling) that isn't needed when wiring the remote control. This is not part of the installation instructions. I read several reviews that could not get the remote control to work and I wonder if this is why. There are several UTube videos that cover this subject. Once I reviewed the video, wiring the remote control was a snap. Quiet, well balanced and moves a good amount of air. June 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan! Love this fan so much I purchased 2 more. My only complaint is the bulbs that come with the fan hum loudly so I had to switch them out immediately. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan! The only reason this fan got 4 stars and not 5 was because the installation process was kind of difficult, but great fan over all! VERY quiet, runs smoothly, and great look. Great product! July 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product. Fan was fairly easy to install. Only issue was that the canopy was difficult to line up with the mounting holes in the bracket. It is very quiet and looks great in our den. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan! Very quiet and smooth. Beautiful. Excellent quality. July 12, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great-- But Looks great. Some drawbacks- 1. The lights flicker even with the fan off. I have replaced the provided bulbs within the first 30 days due to two of them burning out. I have tried LED and old school bulbs and the lights still flicker. And yes, I am certain the wiring is tight. 2. The remote is awkward and doesn't fit securely in the flimsy holder. Plus it is a light shade of olive drab. 3. The blades were the hardest I've installed. But nowhere near easiest. The rubber bushing were a bit tight trying to fit them in all 15 holes. June 8, 2016
