Rated 5 out of 5Â by HappyinNJ Great fan and easy to install
Had this installed by a professional electrician and seemed pretty straightforward. Need to ensure the ceiling fixture/box is "fan ready" else extra spend to install a box that can support the weight of the fan. Most newer construction homes will have boxes that are fan ready. The remote makes this very easy to operate with a 12-14' high ceiling. Having CFLs allows for great light output but you lose the ability to user the dimmer feature of the remote. One can change to incandescent bulbs and toggle the switch at the back of the remote above the battery compartment. We used 2' down-rods that were purchased separately - the fan comes with a short down-rod. Overall, looks great!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Jamie I regret this purchase
I bought 2 of these for a large room that needs air circulation. They look great and all was wonderful at first but within the 1st year one remote broke. We just used the other but now it too has started to go bad. I thought it was the battery but replacing it doesn't help. The fans stopped working awhile back and we were just using it for the light but now since the remote is broken we can't do that either. Neither the fan nor the light works without the remote. I don't even know what the point is of having the pull chains if you must have the remote. If you lose the remote or it breaks you are out of luck. The replacement for the remote is about $68 and from what I have read so far, it doesn't work for very long either. I am so irritated that I bought these and now need to find something else because I can't see in the dark!

Defiantly not a 5 minute install. Took me 5 minutes just to get the rubber things in the fan blades. The remote provided does not allow for dimming of the lights even with non cfl bulbs. I did how ever put a dining switch on the wall so I can dim it that way. The receiver for the remote is quite large, and the instructions do not give you any idea where to put it. I managed to stuff it in between the mount, after I put the fan up. I would imagine this would be even harder if I didn't have the fan on a 4 foot pole. So all in all, I would purchase again. I would just recommend hunter to make a smaller receiver that is easier to install under the cover on the ceiling.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Todd Fan failed after 4 months, horrible customer service
Simple enough to install but after 4 months it quit working, fan is dead and lights wont come on. I rechecked all of the connections and no issues there. I made 4 attempts to call Hunter customer service with almost 1 hour waiting time I never got to speak with any representative. Twice I waited to 15 minutes, once the customer survey came on and the other time it went to some generic voicemail that only recites some numbers and prompts you to leave a message after beep then dumps you.
The other 2 times I was disconnected while on hold..... not once did I get to speak with a person and inquire about warranty or tech help. I have installed several ceiling fans and never had an issue so I'm 100% sure its some defect in the fan. I rated 1 star, I'd have rated 0 stars if I could have. Horrible company for customer service.

Overall appearance and function is quite nice. Fan allows A/C unit to be kept at a higher temperature, thus reducing electric bill. Installation is done with ease by following the assembly instructions provided. The ceiling plate has two hooks (great feature) to hold fan while wiring, no need for a second person or trying to hold fan up by yourself during the wiring process. The only issue was trying to figure out how to use the remote control's light dimming feature, there is a tiny switch inside the battery compartment of the remote. This switch must be in the up or non-CFL position to use the dimming feature, also, dimmable CFL or incandesant bulbs must be purchased separately. The three CFL bulbs included are non-dimmable
