Answer:
I have 7 of these. They are ALL dimmable from the remote control once the CFL bulbs are replaced with incandescents or, in my case, LEDs.
That being said, the first three I bought have a setting in the remote DIP switches to activate the dimmers, the last four I installed work automatically. (No DIPs)

I guess i will purchase a lower watt bulb because the 60 watt equiv are way to bright.

Not using the controls on the fan itself. If you've wired the fan and the fan's light kit to separate wall switches then you can put a dimmer on the light switch.

Answer:
More than adequate. You could even go with a smaller fan, but I use this 52" fan in my bedroom and it's about the same size as yours. On medium, it's just about right for sleeping in the summer. A 52" fan is good for a room up to 350 sq. ft., so you could even go a little smaller if you wanted.

Answer:
Thanks for your question! This fan would be too large for this room. 52 inch fans are typically used in rooms that are 20 feet by 20 feet. The best fans for your room size are 30-48 inch fans. These fans will give you enough blade clearance from wall to wall so your can have the correct amount of air flow based on the fan's CFMs.

Sounds like you have the fan on a low setting from the pull chain.
Note the pull chain has 3 setting for speed and the remote has 3 settings for speed thereby giving the ability to have 9+ different speeds.
The sped settings are different from the speed setting from the remote.
IE
Chain Low and Remote Low = Low Low speed
Chain Low and Remote Med = Low Med speed
Chain Low and Remote High = Low

If you are using the remote & someone pulled the fan chain, the speed switch & receiver are our of sync. For this fan, the speed switch has to be on high then you can use the remote. From here, you will need to unwire the receiver, direct wire the fan to your ceiling power, then reset the fan speed to high. Once you have reset the speed, you can rewire the receiver back with the fan & use the remote as normal. If you are not using the remote, please make sure all power wires are secure & firmly wire capped. If you have done this & you are still experiencing as issue, then the switch housing may need to be replaced. Read Less

Answer:
Have you tried changing the speed by using the pull chain switch on the fan? The remote control cannot make the fan go faster than the speed that is set by the pull chain switch. You need to set the remote at high speed and then use the pull chain switch on the fan to also set that switch to high speed.

I assume you are using the remote? The speed control on the fan itself should be set on High. Use the remote to set the fan at High speed, then use the pendant switch on the fan itself to click through to the highest speed.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very quiet ceiling fan with convenience of remote control We were looking for a QUIET ceiling fan with a remote control feature to replace the one in our bedroom. We have found those features and qualities in Hunter ceiling fans through past purchases. We couldn't find what we were looking for in the stores so I shopped online and finally found the Hunter Highbury fan in white. It cost a little more, but I feel it's worth the extra money. My husband installed the fan without a lot of trouble and we are very happy with it. It is very quiet, looks nice, and the remote control makes it convenient to control from bed. Very happy with our purchase. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by As advertised and fast delivery. We needed this fan to move air in our new home. It installed relatively easily and the remote works as indicated. Very happy with the Hunter product and Home Depot ordering and delivery were great. I used LED bulbs and they are not bright. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice fan The only fault with the fan is that it didn't have light weight plastic fan blades. It was hard to balance the blades. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this fan I love the remote that came with this fan. It makes so easy to control the speeds and turn off and on. July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hunter ceiling fan I purchased 2 ceiling of these fans. Same make and model because they were on sale. One for the garage the other for a spare bedroom. They were extremely easy to install, they work well, the remote holder that mounts on the light switch is a bit cheap looking. The fan works great, but is much louder than I had anticipated. 5 stars for ease to instal and function, 3 stars for noise level. July 1, 2016
