I accidentally broke one of these nozzles with a weed eater (while running the system to locate pop-ups in deeply thatched sod). In assessing the repair, I found the sprinkler was of simple and accessible construction and the parts well integrated. The question was whether a simple replacement of the nozzle unit would effect the repair. I found that there was no thread damage and that a nozzle should do it. Then, was the replacement nozzle still marketed? The model number of the part I needed was clearly marked, and I found that Hunter sold replacements at a very reasonable price. I chose to drive 40 miles to make a same day purchase rather than wait a week or two for delivery. Skipped the usual muddy digging and had things squared away in ten minutes after returning. Based on another review, I bought four nozzles, just in case. The first one worked, and is working just fine, and I have low-cost spares. No complaints here.

I bought these nozzles because I've had decent luck in the past with Hunter sprinkler heads. I'm sorry to say I'm sorely disappointed in the performance of these nozzles. The spray pattern is random and blotchy. I will not buy Hunter nozzles again.

These are updated versions of side strip nozzle of same manufacturer. Bought 4 of these. One worked fine. The others threw only about 3 feet instead of 5 feet and spray was weak. Even when adjusted for maximum flow. These were replacing old style heads by same manufacturer. Tossed em out and trying another brand.
