MP Rotators in translation stands for Matched Precipitation Rotators. Matched Precipitation means that water is being evenly distributed throughout the landscape. MP Rotators in translation stands for Matched Precipitation Rotators. Matched Precipitation means that water is being evenly distributed throughout the landscape. With regular rotors (depending on the arc in which they apply water) it is necessary to swap out the Gallon Per Minute (GPM) nozzle to achieve matched precipitation. For example, if Rotor A has an arc of 90 degrees then you should have a 1.5 GPM nozzle inside of it. Whereas, Rotor B covers an arc of 180 degrees in which it should have a 3 GPM nozzle. Rotor B's nozzle is twice the GPM as Rotor A's because it is covering twice the area. The best feature of Hunter's MP Rotators is that no matter the arc of the nozzle it is always going to have Matched Precipitation. So, if you have 3 Hunter MP Rotators all of which have different arcs you will still have Matched Precipitation. Hunter MP Rotators have a precipitation rate of ABOUT .4 inches (amount of water they apply in an hour), Rotors .5 inches, and Sprays put out about 1.5 inches of water in an hour. So, it is okay to have Hunters' MP Rotators on a zone that has traditional rotors already on them because their precipitation rates are close. But, you shouldn't put a MP Rotator or a Rotor on a zone with Spray heads. Their precipitation rates are polar opposites and will cause part of the zones landscape to always be over or under watered. Customer Reviews

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding solution for watering my flower beds. This sprinkler head system is the best I've seen for watering small to medium sized flower beds. June 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I prefer the rainbird This sprinkler head creates numerous small, skinny streams. Rainbird rotator nozzles produce fuller streams/coverage. This might be OK for a complete new system laid out with proper overlap, but I have some drip and other heads that I can't just double or triple the water length. by the way, this head is very similar spray to another's big box store "K rotor head", except the K unit is adjustable. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by These are outstanding sprinkler heads. Use these all the time and they are an outstanding sprinkler head. August 22, 2012
