I had a landscaper put in and indoor controller outdoors mounting it right above a gutter. Also the outside electrical supply is right underneath the controller. Isn't this dangerous?

Answer:
An outdoor controller could be installed anywhere, but an indoor, must be in a covered area, when you purchase an outdoor controller, they do not come with a cord, it must be purchased separately. This is why you should hire a licensed irrigation company instead of a Landscaper who typically carries no license.

Answer:
Any controller of ANY brand could be used in any location as long as it supports the quantity of zones that you have. If in doubt, call a licensed irrigation person and they will install a more quality controller with more options.

Our area is limited to watering only 2 days per week, so I need to be able to program an early am time as well as a late pm time on these 2 days. What are the exact pre-programmed start times that your sprinkler timer has as options?

There are four optional start times that are programmed by the user. The times are available in 15 minute intervals, from midnight unti midnight. For example, you may program your sprinklers to run at 0600, and than again at 0730, meaning you chose to use only two of the available four start times. Another example: you can program to start in the morning at 0400, and again at 0515, then in the evening at Read More

Answer:
This controller is not expandable. You can use less than the 8 zones, but need to purchase a different controller to add more. This is why it is best to use a licensed irrigation contractor who should know to use an expandable controller.
