I installed this fan by myself. It took about 3 hours from opening the box to cleaning up, but I am very pleased with the final result. The instructions were easy to follow; however, not all of the parts were labeled. The hardware was labeled, but all other parts you had to compare to the picture in the instruction manual in order to figure out what they were talking about. I was daunted by the assembly and installation at first, but the instruction manual kept everything simple and was easy to follow. The weight of each piece during installation was manageable (not too heavy).
Only con was the 2 - 60W bulbs don't seem bright enough. I will be upgrading to the 75W bulb (max allowed).

This fan is very attractive, and was easy to install. It comes with 2 60W incandescent bulbs with candelabra bases. Because of the antique color of the globe, not much of that light gets out into the room. There is overload protection to prevent larger bulbs from being used. But, if you aren't counting on the fan lights to brightly illuminate the room, it is a beautiful fan, and looks quite elegant.

Recommend shopping and deciding what all you need and involving the kids. This worked out well to get exactly what they wanted. Installation pics weren't always super easy to follow, but it wasn't too bad. The fan support had to be rebuilt , but after the speed bump it worked.

I cannot say enough about Hunter fans! I just bought a house, and I have a Hampton bay ceiling fan in my kitchen, and when I turn it on high, it shakes like a leaf! But not my new Hunter fan!! Quiet as a mouse and no wobbling! Woo hoo! Best fans ever! I'll never buy a different brand for ceiling fans!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fanman2 Nice Fan, but........
needed a fan to install in our son's room to supplement that room;s very weak central A/C circulation. Did some research and shopping and agreed on the Hunter Kensington. It's a good thing we hired an electrician to install this fan as a replacement to the light fixture that was in the center of his room on the ceiling. Installation required a new ceiling box. The only reason I did NOT give this fan a 5 star review was that several pages in the instruction/installation manual were blank. I will be calling Hunter tomorrow morning to have a new manual sent to me should I need it for future reference. From an operational point of view, the fan runs virtually silent and circulates the air in a medium to small sized bedroom exceptionally well. As fro quality of engineering, the electrician commented on how good the engineering of this fan is and commented of the fine quality. Finally , the brightness is just right form this bedroom.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by IlliniVet Three Fans; Some Problems
Purchased three (3) Model 51015 Hunter Fans with the intent of providing air circulation in three guest bedrooms before guests arrived. Delivery was promised in six days but received in 12, a significant schedule slip. UPS tracking was marginal and they appear to be the source of the delayed receipt.
Installation was relatively easy and by the third fan down to about 2 hours. Unfortunately, when first powered up on day 13, the third fan did not rotate. It took four customer service calls and the disassembly of the second fan to identify the cause of the malfunction. The lower switch housing was defective. That part is currently on backorder with at least a 6-weeks delay! Kiss my fan original installation schedule good-by.
To the credit of Hunter Fan Customer Service, on day 13 they promised two-day FedEx delivery of a replacement fan. (Local Home Depot did not have a duplicate fan in stock.) On day 24 the replacement fan was received … long after my house guests departed. (2 days promised plus 9). FedEx tracking was marginal and (as clarified in a later Customer service call) the two-day shipping actually starts when the Hunter Fan warehouse finally schedules shipment.
Considering the price, the current fans work well. They are attractive and quiet with blade size and downrod sized for each room. My only concern is that while the Customer Service personal were great (I spoke to five different staff members on six different occasions) they need to handle Customer expectations better and maybe Home Depot and Hunter Fan should better address tracking of deliveries.
