This kit was unusable for the fan it claimed it was for. The openings for the pull switch was wrong.
Sorry, but the return was easy.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rfgpe Very disappointed in this product
The fan kit cost me about $30.00 (with shipping). It is 100% plastic . . . It is very flimsy. For $30 I expect a higher quality product, esp from a big name like Hunter Fans. Very difficult to installed if the fan is already installed.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jeff Hunter Marine fan and Marine Light 2 incompatible
The Hunter Marine fan's pull chain gets in the way of the Marine 2 light's base, causing the light not to fit and the fan's pull chain innoperable. Neither the fan's box, the light's box, or any of the included instruction materials explain what fans and lights are compatible together. Probably the last time I buy a product that willingly hides information like this.
Lots of work to get the entire product together and hung, only to have it fail at the last step.
Poor rating due to incompatibility combined with zero compatibility charts. Hunter should at least provide compatibility within their own product lines.

This is a good utility light and looks good. It's not a high end fixture so I didn't expect that much. It installed easily and no problems.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GAB10 Good outdoor light kit
This light kit works exceptionally well with Hunter's Bridgeport line of ceiling fans and I'm sure will work with all other Hunter fans as well. It is made of all nonmetallic parts and fits together tightly so water cannot get through the joints or seams. It does have a small hole in the plastic globe to allow the fixture to "breathe" but the hole is at the bottom center so condensation will drain. The supplied 40W equivalent 2700K CFL lamps brighten quickly although they seem a bit "brighter" than 2700K. Perhaps one should plan on using a different brand of bulbs or even using two 40W halogens if true warm white light is desired. Note that the maximum size bulbs are two 40W medium base. Overall the fixture seems well constructed and installs very easily. Just don't attempt to use the tiny lockwashers with the mounting screws. There is no way to get them back into the holes once the lockwashers are in place. Furthermore they are unneccessary since the compressed rubber gasket will lock the screws just fine.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Josh Not compatible as promised
I called Hunter Fans multiple times before ordering this fan. They assured me the light kit was compatible with my fan. It wasn't. I'm now waiting for Hunter to send me an additional piece to make it fit the fan. Very disappointing.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by tomc Very disappointed with Hunter
A couple of weeks ago I purchased a Hunter Fan separately from this Light kit. Hunter Fan, Hunter light kit, however the chain from the fan is on an angle that prevents you from installing the light. On my way back to the store to return it. Big mistake assuming Hunter would make fans which are advertised to accept light kits and make light kits that would fit with their fan.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SMWV great light but a bear to install!
The aged bronze finish is a perfect match to the Hunter fan we installed. With the appropriate bulb, it can be used on a dimmer switch. It's a classic, non-intrusive style that puts out a lot of light. The only drawback is the installation --- the electrician who installed ours said it took twice as long to wire as most other fans he's installed. and YES, he read the instructions! LOL
