Customer Questions & Answers

Does this fan have a filter or is it vented?

Asked by: Anonymous
This fan does not have a filter, it is vented. It must be connected to ducting that vents to the outside. Do not vent a bathroom exhaust fan into the attic!

The specifications list two different sets of measurements. I need to cover a hole that is a rectangle, 10" x 15.5". Will this fan cover the hole?

Asked by: Anonymous
No, the shade is 13 inches in diameter.

can this model be installed inside the Shower?

...that is right under the Shower.
Asked by: Anonymous
No, this unit cannot be installed in the shower. Specifications require that it be installed a minimum of 8 feet above the top of the tub (which is ridiculous because that would require a 10 foot ceiling in your bathroom) and a minimum of 3 feet laterally from the shower head.

How do you take it down to change the bulb?

I'm having trouble disassembling this fan to replace the bulb. First time since it was installed, and I can't seem to unskrew the bottom knob. I didn't install it, so maybe I'm going about it wrong. Does it snap off? Is it skrewed on from the bottom?
Asked by: abrecken
Hello! To change the bulbs, you will unscrew the finial/cap in the center on the bottom of the glass. Turning it counter clockwise should loosen the cap. We hope this helps!

Customer Reviews

Organic Decorative 70 CFM Ceiling Exhaust Bath Fan with Brittany Bronze Leaf Design and Scavo Glass-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking fan! Love the look and design of this fan. Not the easiest to install...if the directions were a bit more than just pictures it would have been easier. Would be nice to have some written directions. I would say this fan would be hard to install for a beginner. You definitely need some remodeling/install experience as well as you need to know wiring! Between my husband and I we got it installed correctly. I would have given this 5 stars if not for the poor directions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's beautiful but for the wire twining with leaves, it doesn't cup the glass. Excellent delivery time. My ventilator fan arrived in good condition. It seemed to install easily according to the guy I hired and it is just as I pictured. Except for the decorative fitting on the outside of the glass, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Attractive light The light is very pretty and fits in with our decor. Only negative feature, the glass is pretty thick and doesn't allow the lightbulbs to shine through which has resulted in us using an additional light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! Installed one of these in each of my two bathrooms. So glad I purchased one for each....they're absolutely beautiful and the price was fantastic. They're more than enough to handle each of my two medium size bathrooms and were extremely easy to install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful addition This looks so lovely in my bathroom. It really is set off by all of the other brushed bronze items I bought.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and quiet Very happy with this lamp/fan combo. Lighter in color than pictured but truly beautiful, unique and well made.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Terrible installation instructions The fan arrived in good condition and was as described. The fan is very quiet. The instructions contain NO WORDS. They are a series of drawings, some of which are extremely ambiguous. Many of the steps in the instructions are moronic in their unnecessary level of detail (e .g., step C11 shows placement of the nut on the threaded stud; step C12 is turning the nut). Other steps aren't even applicable and some are just wrong. If you've installed exhaust fans before, I'm sure you will have no problem putting this in. It isn't really that difficult to install; trying to understand the awful installation instructions is the hardest part of the job. (Well, in my case, cutting a hole in the side of the house from inside the attic in 95 degree weather was the hardest part.)
