Instructions not so easy to understand. The fan wobbles- so, after reading instructions and installing, you read the final pages of the instructions and it tells you that you have to troubleshoot/ balance the fan by using weights that come with the fan. We spent at least 2 hours attempting to balance that darn fan- it still wobbles and makes a ticking noise when at top speed. Low and medium speed are OK, but I guess it will always wobble at high speed. We have other Hunter fans in the house- That is why we bought this one- but it's not the same as the old 5 minute fan we have that has absolutely no wobble and no noise at speed. Dan

This was purchased to replace our other fan that died after 5 years-same maker-ballister popped and light no longer worked but the fan kept on chugging away. Light doesn't come with the "Universal Adapter" any longer so be sure to pick one up in the event the holes in your ceiling box don't line up to the holes on the ceiling attachment for this fan. Fan snaps together in 5 minutes once all the pieces are in place and works nice!

We have a vaulted ceiling and our old fan's electrical supply used a joist box. Unfortunately the box which just pushes on over a ceiling joist was oriented wrong to hang the fan. Hunter tech support was rude and totally not helpful in solving this problem and we had to listen to advertisements before someone came on the line. We have a well built 14 year old home so this could not have been an unusual problem. After lots of time and research my husband found a plate that is used for this problem in the lighting section of Lowes. After that it took us about 1.5 hours to install the fan. I would have welcomed screws to attach the blades because I could have never squeezed hard enough to snap them in place. I wish the picture would have shown the fan with the cords attached as they are ugly and really detract from the fan's looks. Buy the extra remote if you want the fan to look nice. The directions don't emphasize the importance of the balancing step but don't think you can skip it, ours wobbled like it wanted off the ceiling. It is strange with all the technology that the entire success of your installation are those three little weights. We are steering clear of Hunter products.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jim great shoping experience
The fan is so quiet and moves plenty of air even on the low speed in a large room with vaulted ceiling. I like the fan so much that I bought five more of them and replaced the old outdated brass finish fans in the breakfast room, computer room, and three bedrooms. Now the air conditioner does not run nearly as much as it did before I replaced the fans. We live in the south where the temperature is 90 to 95 most of the summer.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GroovyGirl Very nice fan and light! High Quality!!
This fan is very nice looking and works well. Installation was fairly easy. The only problem I have with it is that I cannot find a switch to reverse the blades to switch it from summer to winter spin.
