This fan was extremely easy to install. I've put together quite a few in the past, this one being the easiest. We have the brushed nickel version. I installed it low-profile without the extension. It looks like money but was priced reasonably. Quality materials. I like the insulated bracket that mounts to the electrical box and ceiling. It makes the install very stable. There are a couple of times when I was unsure which screw that the directions were calling for but I figured it out. The operation is quiet and wobble-free. The lighting fixture comes with CFLs and lights up our 17x10 room perfectly. Great investment.

The 46" blades were hard to find. The fan runs smoothly and the lights are very bright, which I was looking for because my daughters room is on the dark side. It has (3) 60W bulbs!
Only issue I have with this fan....the website has it listed as white blades and light oak, which is INCORRECT. The blades are white on white. Not sure if HD has corrected the site. I tried to order the light oak from Hunter but they were unable to get them as a replacement due to this color is not a replacement part for this fan?? So I guess I'm keeping the white blades because it is already installed.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by twinkletoes The fan was a breeze to install/
While the fan was a breeze to install I did have a little trouble with a couple of the small parts the directions did not clearly identify and explain. I decided not to use the remote so that sped things up quite a bit. The reason I decided not to use the remote was the difficulty of getting everything into the bracket and still be able to do the wiring. Anyway the switch is ten feet from the bed and the day I cannot walk ten feet to switch it on and off is the day I will no longer need a fan.
It is very attractive. The wife loved it so if the boss is happy I am happy.

This fan cools the room quickly and quietly. It comes with extra rubber pads to mount in between the housing and the ceiling as well as around each hole for the blades. It is so quiet that you do not even notice that it is there. If you do look up, however, you see an elegant fixture of gleaming white metal with "white on white" stenciled flowers on the three bulb covers. It is really lovely. The light is also bright. We have mounted these fans "flush mount" in bedrooms with low ceilings as well as in the kitchen over our family table. We love our purchase. Thank you to the Home Depot lighting salesman, George, in West Roxbury, MA, for recommending this Hunter fan. We did have a professional carpenter install these.

This seem to be a good fan. Installed it in a 11' ceiling. So we have to purchase a 2 ft extension down rod. It is used to replace a light mounted on a ceiling stud already.
Installed went fairly easy for a novice installer like me.
One of the hole on the dome was not lining up but it is the one with the hook, so I would not worry too much about it.
We spray painted the blade with Rust Oleum Pink color for a little girl's bedroom.
There was one missing screw for the light fixture but I can find a similar screw from our stash to replace it.
The inclusion of 3 CFL bulb is nice so we don't have to buy that.
The pull string was rather short, so I had to buy some extra length but that is a cheap part.
Overall, it is a great product. Hopefully, last a long time.

Installation was not difficult and took about two hours.
Fan is very quiet. Love the three speeds and the ability to change rotation direction.
Lights are bright and use regular CFL bulbs (medium base). Most fans in this category use candelabra bulbs that are hard to find and not bright enough.
Chain pulls are labeled, so you don't have to guess which one is for the fan, and which is for the light.
The canopy has a slight wobble, but it's not noticeable.

I just installed this fan to replace a cheaper one that I bought a month ago. "You get what you pay for" applied to the first fan, but not this one. I got way more than I expected with this fan. Great quality, easy installation, and completely silent. I have bought/installed a couple fans in the last couple years and this one is the best value of them all. You really can't go wrong with Hunter fans. Its our 3rd Hunter, and I don't think I will ever buy another brand again.

I have 2 other (larger) Hunter fans in my apartment but needed a smaller one (this one) for the kitchen. Works well, very quiet, and really well designed. So I always stick with Hunter, and have never been disappointed. And for the price, this is excellent!
(Oh, and there is an installation option - that I couldn't see mentioned elsewhere - to hang this in a 'low profile' mode. So you can save 2-3 inches off the stated height if your headroom is tight.)
