This fan works looks great and works great. We use it in our smaller dining room. The light could be brighter but other than that, I have no complaints.

This fan is perfect , especially in the bronze color, and should not be discontinued. That color is much richer than the nickel color and is difficult to find, in general. The color is one reason we bought it, plus the fan and light features. It's also easy to install.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lenny I'm with CrashJK-This Ceiling Fan is a 5 star!
Have to agree with Crash JK..To assemble this, it certainly took longer than 5 minutes. Perhaps if a person had already put this together a thousand times, and had someone handing you every item, you might be able to do it in 5 minutes. Just removing everything from the box took forever. But, after it's all said and done, it's a great fan and well worth the time putting it together! All three speeds of the fan are extremely quiet and it absolutely looks awesome! I Love it and will buy another from Hunter. I looked and read many reviews beforehand and I can't imagine a person not being happy with this purchase.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by George Great Buy!!
I have to agree with my fellow purchasers. The fan is great. Stunning in looks, quiet as a mouse, but in no way does the installation of this fan take 5 minutes. It took triple the time to put this fan up, than it did to take the old one down, and that simply consisted of removing screws and snipping wires. Please dont construe my review as hard to install, because it wasnt, but it did take longer than 5 minutes as advertised. I am a very "handy" individual. I work in construction so I wasn't sold on the "ease" of installation as I knew I could figure it out one way or another. But for someone who isn't, and that 5 minute installation is your deciding factor.....Plan on between 15-30 minutes depending on your expertise (including removal of existing fan). All in all I think this fan installs seamlessly, looks wonderful, and operates perfectly. An excellent buy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CrashJK Amazing quality and ease of installation
The box says 5 minute fan. Ok, installation took a little over a half an hour. Unpacking, getting the ceiling mounting plate installed and working off a ladder slowed me down a bit. The ceiling plate for Hunter fans is the best in terms of stability for the entire fan - a thick metal plate with four rubber feet that work to isolate vibrations, this is a well engineered product ! The screws lined up perfect, blades drop in and the slider clip makes install on a ladder effortless. The ceiling trim collar is a nice finish touch top. We put this in our bedroom to replace a Harbor Bay unit that was totally remote control operated, the remote or receiver died on the fan rendering it useless. There is no wobble, no noise, totally balanced blades - just perfect. The unit included 2 CF bulbs too. I will only by Hunter fans from this point forward - sometimes you DO have to pay more for a better product.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by alowe215 loved it until!
i bought this fan less than 9 months ago and for the first nine months i loved it but for the last three weeks when i pull the chord to try to get the light or fan to turn on it becomes a 10 minute thing where i have to push the chord back up in the little hole and wait until i hear a click, well that worked for a while but now the light even after i hear the click won't turn on....i have three of these fans i bought all on the same day and each one is having the same pull chord issues. Although the other two fans in the house i am still able to get them to come on after messing with it my bedroom fan is shot, i refuse to even shut off the fan part of it in fear that i will have a completely useless product hooked up on my wall. It was a pain to put up and now it,s a pain because the switches are blah internally, I would have rather had an empty wallet than the headache of these fans and their issues.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by turkey123 Pull cord switch failure
I had this fan professionally installed just over a year ago. I never used the pull switch, only the wall switch to turn on and off. Since my son and his wife moved in 30 days ago, they used the pull cord for the light. The switch that the pull cord is attached to has failed. My son has had to "play" with switch and pull cord, but now it is totally non-functional. When I wrote to the Hunter Co. regarding the failure, all they could respond back with was that the part would need to be replaced, it costs $10. plus tax and a $9.99 SHIPPING FEE. I was a little over 30 days on the 1yr warranty. Apparently, in reviewing the other posts here, my fan is not the only one with the pull cord failure. Faulty product parts-no recall notices. No acknowledgement by corporate that less than perfect parts were used. It's a beautiful fan/light unit, but I'm disappointed in the mfg. I have only used Hunter in the 20 yrs I've owned my home, and this is a disappointment.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by curly Excellent beautiful ceiling fan!
Great ceiling fan for a smaller area like our dining alcove. Looks and works great! Installation was a bit difficult, it took 3 hours not 5 minutes, but still once installed it worked beautifully quiet and gave needed comfort. Price was $99.00 for a 42 inch fan. We noticed Home Depot later had it on sale for much less but it was still a good value.
