Answer:
What do you mean by low Profile? It is a standard ceiling fan with 3 " suspender rods from the ceiling. The motor and blades have the ususal size. The bottom below the blades is about 3 ", which according to the installation instructions allows for an opzional light fixture.

Page 12 of the Installation Manual states: "You can customize your Hunter fan with a number of accessory light kits." I am not sure, nor did it say which ones can be used. There is a covered hole in the bottom of the lover switch housing that looks like it will support a light kit

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cant go wrong with Hunter Brand. My previous house had Hunter fans throughout and they worked great. Quiet, moved a lot of air, no wobble. The date code was 2001 on those. Just bought a new home. The fans all needed replaced so I went with Hunter. No disappointment with the quality and operation of the newer style fans. Still quiet, reliable, moves good air, and no wobble. My only complaint is the new style mounting system. On the older models you had 2 options....1. Screw mount the base that goes on the ceiling to the motor housing....2. Downrod mount. On the new models you have no choice but to do a downrod mount. So no matter what you have the rounded triangle shaped piece exposed instead of hidden like the old models were. This doesn't effect the operation but it does make a for a less cleaner appearance. Other than that it functions flawlessly and the updated styling on the switch housing and the hidden blade mounts look great. Gives the fan a modern retro look. October 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I Love this fan This fan is very quiet. The installation at times took some thinking. It could have been a little more clear, but it came together very good. I would recommend this fan. I went from a four blade to this five blade. It moves the air very well. I am impressed at how well balanced it is. They included a balancing kit with it, but it was not needed. There is no wobble even at high speed. I use the medium speed for my needs, but it is nice to know it will run at full speed with no problems if I ever need it. November 14, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan! We looked for a basic white fan and found several at lower cost. However, I had experience with this brand before as well as cheaper brands but decided that this was worth the extra cost. This model is well balanced and easy to install. There is no "hum" to figure out. We now have 3 of this model and all work well! June 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far...so good... I actually was replacing a Hunter fan; the motor burned out. I had noticed over the years an oily soot on the blades, so the gasket or seal must have been loose or not in place... (I did not have rect, as manu. should have replaced it). New one is just like my old one, except: high speed is NOT as fast...NOT pleased with that. May 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A practical purchase. Some parts of installation a challenge with very tiny screw holes that didn't match up. But overall OK for home diy ers to tackle. Looks good and is quiet. July 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Summer Breeze 52 in. White Ceiling Fan We did lot's of research before purchasing a ceiling fan, the most important feature was energy consumption. Seeing as ceiling fans are running nearly 24/7 (live in Florida), the cost to run should be the most important consideration. On low, this fan consumes 11 watts (low 11watts/med 20 watts/ high 44watts). Where-as, one can purchase another fan, save $50, but it will use 4X's as much electricity. It was easy to install, all install options came packed with the fan. It is whisper-quiet, can not hear the fan at all unless set on high, but even when on high, all you hear is the wind it produces, no hum from the motor at all. I wanted to buy the Mariner model, but it has never been in stock. The Mariner is indoor/outdoor, a little faster RPM's. The only way to get a better fan than this is to spend $250 or more, that would be a DC fan. May 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Buy! Easy installation. Looks great and very quiet. Overall nice appearance. July 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A good, basic fan that works This replaces a 42" other-brand fan with light kit. It emitted a loud hum, and didn't move enough air for the 15' x 12' space. The Hunter, in my house, makes a faint hum that is not at all objectionable, and stirs just the right amount of air at even the low speed. Installation was trickier than Hunters I've installed in the past. Some of the diagrams aren't quite clear enough, but I figured it out. The hanging hook needs to be oriented the right way, and I wasn't sure.... Also, the instructions tell you to drill holes in the electrical box to accommodate two long wood screws. Since I was replace an existing fan, I just used the two existing protruding screw shafts to which I attached the new fan's plate. This fan does not come with a light kit, and I don't want one, as I don't like the quality of light they emit. Overall I am very happy with this fan. June 21, 2011
