Answer:
A tire gauge can measure in pounds per square inch, PSI, kilopascals, KPA, or
BAR, a BAR is 14.5 PSI or 100 KPA. I believe BAR and KPA are metric measurements, like metres and kilos versus inches and pounds that we use in America.

They are just another type of measurement used in other countries. Just like their are different ways to measure temperature......degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius or even the degrees Kelvin scale.
Obviously you will want to use the PSI measurement.

Answer:
Most of these gauges use a coin cell for the pressure gauge and this gauge doesn't tell you when the battery is spent, the gauge just doesn't work but the light may still work. In the Husky its underneath the AAA battery compartment. AAA only power the lights.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.0 out of 5 by 102 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible purchase It is always good to read reviews, however this was a gift. I read other reviews after having problems with the gauge and found out that this small thing has 3 batteries? Most people would not know where to look for the third (button) battery. The button battery access is difficult to enter also. Save your money, June 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by REPLACE ALL BATTERIES BEFORE USE ...GREAT PRODUCT..!!! I picked up 4 of these digital gauges they were on close out @$2.53 ea i got home they work great and i checked the readings in all 3 settings to my Longacre $ 300+ analog certified gauge this gauge is.50 of 1.0psi accurate! Digital gauge units are made by just 3 companies world wide SoUno for consumer use. Bottom line is this is as good as ANY digital out there But you must replace the aaa batt and button cell batt before using February 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Completely dead after 6 months! This is the 2nd one I purchased. Should have waited to buy the second. Both worked great for about 6 months and then crapped out. Odd thing was that the last one completely wore out the new batteries. They weren't just low as you might expect. They were absolutely DEAD! I would guess there is an internal short or electrical design problem. Do yourself a favor anf don't buy this piece of junk! February 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice pressure gauge with some extras This is a convenient pressure gauge to keep in the car. I found the gauge to be accurate compared to a standard manual gauge. The display is nice and clear and can easily be switched between PSI, BAR, and KPA. It has two lights on it, one at either end. There is an LED by the nozzle, presumably for finding the valve in the dark. There is another LED on the opposite end that is about the same brightness, but shines in a wider area - this is just a small flashlight for convenience. The gauge is powered by a CR2032 battery and the LEDs are powered separately by 2 AAs. Overall, its a good gauge that's handy to have in the car. My only complaint, and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that the head is too big to get in to the valve on my motorcycle tires. February 10, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by CR2032 Battery Dies too Quickly I like the gauge itself. I've checked my pressure against other gauges and it seems to be accurate. The only thing I hate is that the CR2032 Battery drains way too quickly. Put brand new battery in and within a month it was dead. I made sure that I didn't leave it on at all (even though it automatically will shut off). You could take out the CR2032 after every use, but you have to go underneath the AAA batteries with a small screwdriver. If the CR2032 battery were easy access, it wouldn't be a bid deal to me. The AAA batteries are only for the light, not the gauge itself. January 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Tire Gauge This tire gauge has a lot of good features. It has a digital readout showing the psi. It has a light pointing to the tire. It also has a flashlight at the other end. The package said there was a button battery and 2 AAA batteries included. The button battery was already installed but the AAA batteries were not in the package. I had spare batteries that I used. January 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by terrible tire gauge Bought two of these. I thought the first was an exception They won't work in cold weather Led Light failed on one Both units won't read even with new batteries January 22, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Item failed Not a battery issue as I replaced all three and still can't use pressure gauge - not functioning properly. December 28, 2015
