This impact wrench came packaged in a nice protective sleeve. Unfortunately, you almost have to destroy the box flap to get it open because they use too much glue. I like keeping my tools in their boxes when storing and I hope they will revise the box. Overall I am disappointed with this product. It is rated at 500 FT-LBS but it struggled to break the lug nuts loose on my truck (which are torqued to 150 ft-lbs). I had it connected to a full size compressor with 140 lbs of line pressure. I pulled out a different impact wrench rated at 230 ft-lbs and it performed better. While the black paint looked nice and unique out of the box, it scratched super easily revealing the bare metal underneath (see picture). Impact wrenches are going to get a lot of use and be scuffed up regularly. If they went with chrome or unpainted metal, the scratches would not be as evident. I like the multiple forward speeds and the direction lever is a great size and easy to move. Unfortunately it and the trigger are both made of plastic and I wonder how many drops/bumps before it breaks. The product would be better with metal trigger and lever.

The drill has a light weight feel to it but still seems durable. I like that it has built in forward torque settings. The 3 settings help on most projects when you are concerned about shearing off a bolt head from over tightening. There are three sized circles. The larger the circle the more power. The reverse is always full power. I was surprised too that a 1/2 inch impact was as quiet as it was. Quieter than most other wrenches. Good buy overall

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Gideon Generic use, yes. Competition use, no.
My worst fear had come true. I really liked the price of this gun and it was convenient being that fact that I wanted it now for the work I'm going to do. I've done my research of reviews and yes, there are ups and downs about it. Short story, the gun couldn't remove any of my flywheel bolts what so ever, NOT the 500 lbs torque Husky claimed. Although I like the three settings, this gun is more for generic use. I am keeping it only because I need to get my other generic work done. As for my flywheel bolts?! Yikes! Back to old school hand tools and breaker bars to get them off. Next time, just label it 150 lbs of torque for that price and I wouldn't complain one bit.

Not really made for taking lugnuts off. This was made for driving lag bolts into lumber which it does quiet well.

Luckily I picked this thing up on clearance and only had about $30 in it. I set my 33 gal compressor to 90psi and it could hardly break loose the lug nuts on my wives Dodge Nitro. I was able to get one of the rotor bolts off before it blew a gasket. I will never go cheap again. I wasn't expecting the highest quality but I figured something to help change a tire wasn't asking too much. No wonder they discontinued it!!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tbonestk Cheap feel right out of the box
Right out of the box, at the bottom of the handle there's a flimsy plastic cover (with holes over the little balls inside) just wouldn't fit correctly so it would slide and eventually the balls would fall out. If you adjust the screw too tightly, the end would break off, or the plate would bend. Either way, I don't see that piece to last long for the life of the tool.
After taking off a couple of lug nuts on my trailer, the stubborn thing would not stop spinning even when your fingers aren't touching the trigger button. I could adjust the Forward/Reverse, fast & slow but can't make it stop spinning on its own. Took it back. Willing to pay a little more and will never buy another Made in China tool again.

Extremely disappointed in this impact. Has a very very hard time breaking lug nuts loose. The socket holder free spins, making it hard to attach a socket. Also, I've used this to remove the bed on my truck to do a fuel pump, and two rear axle brake jobs. That's it, and now the little white balls are sitting on the screen where the air exits and the impact runs air through itself trying to spin, even without your finger on the trigger. I'll try to return this junk if I can find my receipt. Save yourself the trouble and find another impact.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RadMan049 Great Impact Gun! What's The Problem?
I just purchased this impact gun. It's being used on a Craftsman 30 gallon compressor and 100 ft of 3/8 air line with filter to remove moisture and a inline oiler. I am working on my Harley Davidson and the bolt on the transmission shaft is torqued to 180 ft. lbs. and the counter shaft sprocket on the engine is torqued to 150 ft. lbs. This impact gun removed the bolts like it was nothing. Perfect!! Remember I'm operating through 100 ft. 3/8 air hose. I even tried the impact gun on the lugs nuts on my car. Took them off like a hot knife through butter. This impact gun used more air than the others but, man is it quiet! I am very satisfied with the overall performance of this impact gun. Can't find any faults with it. I think I made a great buy!
