Rated 5 out of 5Â by DIYGuy2 Now this is power
I purchased this wrench to do tire rotations on my truck. It work great. After a few purchases and exchanges I learned that the problem was in the CFM of the impact wrench. As a DIY guy I have no need for a 40 gallon air compressor, and most impact wrench have a CFM rating of 7 or 8 which require a big air compressor. I have an 8 gallon 2 horsepower air compressor and it only kicks out 5 cfm's. This wrench requires that amount at 90 psi. It is also a twin hammer so it is smooth and alot quieter that the single hammer. If your looking for a powerful wrench, this will be the best $55 you will ever spent.

I paid closer to $50 for mine. I use it to change to snow tires in the fall and regular tires in the spring on 2 cars. I use it to fix get my mower blade on and off for sharpening. I have used it for about 5-6 years now. I add a drop or two of oil every time I use it. I cleaned it and relubed for the first time ever in 2011. It spent about 2 days in sewage after Hurricane Irene. I also disinfected it! I cleaned it for a 2nd time this spring. A pin fell out near the bottom of the handle. It was a 3x28, about $1. The only thing that ever went wrong. Works well with an 10 gallon, 2.5 hp HF compressor that puts out 5.3 CFM.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by workenman Great impact gun for the price
I bought this 1/2 inch impact gun a while back and I also bought the husky 3/8 inch impact gun at the same time. Both impact guns are used every day at my job. This 1/2 inch impact gun is rated for 350 foot pounds which I believe it is (when used with the proper air compressor). It has enough power to break lug nuts loose. But it gets used mostly for breaking lawnmower blades loose. I oil the gun daily like your supposed to and it seems to be holding up just fine. The gun has an adjustment knob in the back of it just like the 3/8 impact gun has. it has 3 forward speeds and one reverse speed. The trigger is easy to modulate. So fare both the this 1/2inch and the 3/8 impact guns are holding up just fine. For the price I payed I could not be happier.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by James 1/2 " impact wrench
I ordered this several months ago after reading the reviews. I didn't have a need for it when it first came in, but I plugged it into the airline to make sure it spun up. Recently, I tried to use it on a lug nut, it wouldn't work under load. I did put a drop of oil in it before use. Not only would not work on the lug nut, I could stop it just by gripping it hard. Way too late to return it, so a total waste of money. Getting one that works seems to be kind of chancy, so go with a little more money and get a brand that's reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by td2013 Well worth the price
I wanted the 4150 model which has 650ft-lb max torque but it is always out of stock, finally decided to try this one that has only 350ft-lb max torque, at about half of the cost of that 4150, to my surprise, it not only easily removed all lug nuts, it also take out my axle nuts that was previously torqued to over 200ft-lb, it did take some efforts to do it, as somebody suggested, use some short burst, each burst lasted 2-3 seconds, after maybe 10-15 bursts, the 36mm axle nuts came off, which really beyond my expectation. I have prepared a 25" break bar, a long pipe as cheater bar and two guy ready but now they are useless, this inexpensive impact wrench is well worth every penny I paid, it saved me a lots of energy during the entire car repair.
My setup is very low end, a 8-gallon oilless compressor puts out 3.7cfm@90 psi, a 10ft 3/8" rubber air hose, and this tool, works like a champ.
