When you are buying a socket this big, you probably arent using it every day. This, for what its worth, is the socket you need to remove the mower blades from most of the MTD lawn tractors. But at under 3 bucks, its a far cry better than goijg to snap-on or mac.

This socket seems to be of good quality but I could not keep it on the anode rod of the water heater while attempting to break the rod loose with the help of a cheater bar. This is not a short coming of the socket itself, it's just not the right tool for the task. I ordered a six point 1-1/16 in. socket from Home Depot at more than twice the price and it did the job with ease.

After a month of use, I am impressed with the durability of the socket being used with both pneumatic impact guns and ratchets. So far so good+lifetime warranty.

The 30 mm socket is chrome plated and 12 points, not like the dark socket 6 point of the picture. I used it to remove a clutch nut, and everything went well. You can buy it with no fear!

A fabulous socket. I have waited all my life for such a wonderful socket to come along and now I have it!
From now on my life will be full of quality, value, meaning and purpose.
God bless you Home Depot!!

Socket doesn't look the same as pic. B/c of growing dissatisfaction with Craftsman I've been trying to decide between Husky and Lowe's. I was having a hard time deciding which is of higher quality and really it came down to the knurling strip in this pic. I thought it was really cool and would help if wanting to turn something with my fingers. Unfortunately, as I said above, the knurling strip isn't really on the socket.

This socket fit the job. i had a nut that refuse to loosen, even with WD-40. It stripped my previous socket. But when I used this new one, it came open like butter. I WOULD BUY MORE TOOLS LIKE THIS FROM THIS COMPANY.
