Anodized black finish with a thinner wall than is normal for this kind of product, tapers from wall as it approaches socket entry point. This allows a more sure-handed grip when removing socket from driver. The markings are difficult to see and the 1" marking, if covered by grease would be nearly impossible to see without first wiping it off. When using several different sizes on a job, a more visible marking system would be appreciated. Several competitive manufacturers already offer this feature.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by vahandyman Tough heavy duty socket
This socket is very strong and built for heavy duty work. I've used it with a ratchet and with an impact driver, and very happy with it's performance & shows little signs wear. The black finish is deceiving, but has not scratched & only shows rub marks from contact. It's a six point sockets & prefer that over 12-point sockets. I like the solid grip and improved socket-to-fastener contact that comes with a six point socket. I haven't had a stripped hex head bolt or nut yet. This should last a lifetime as warranty does too.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by BarBQLuvR Probably OK
I used the 13/16" Husky 6 point Deep Impact socket with a cordless impact driver to remove and reinstall the lug nuts on the tires for a Kia. The 21mm socket was not as snug on the lug nuts as the 13/16." It is obviously important to use impact sockets when using an impact wrench. This socket worked OK but is not of the best quality. Four areas where it was deficient when compared to the same size socket of a leading seller of automotive tools with a strong lifetime warranty are: 1) the socket did not fit snugly on the impact wrench for the first few tries - maybe a manufacturing issue, 2) the socket had more wobble to it when used, 3) the walls of the socket were not as thick - I would like the extra insurance that the socket is not going to crack or break causing an injury even though the chance of this is low, and 4) the markings are not as easy to read. The price of this socket though is less than half the price of the well-known brand. If you need an impact socket which you will not be using frequently, the Husky impact socket is probably OK.
