I don't see it mentioned on the case or individual sockets anywhere, but considering the level of use I've put these through in the 6 months i've owned them (used every day professionally), I'd say they have to be CroMo, as they stand up just as well to heavy use as the rest of my impact sockets.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Socket Set This is a solid set for removing wheel lugs with a 1/2in Impact Gun. I've used these every day for the last 6 months at work doing tires, brakes, etc and they've held up pretty well. The finish wears off pretty quickly, but the sockets themselves are perfectly functional. If you plan on using these at work as I do, you'll most likely want to pick up a metric deep socket set as well, as there are lug nut sizes that aren't covered by this set. That being said, this set does cover 80-90% of the cars I see at work. Also, if you have a long-anvil Impact gun, you'll be able to work faster since you'll be able to use the sockets without going for the extension every time. The case is rugged enough to survive constant opening/closing and being moved, pushed across the floor, dropped occasionally from 3-5 feet, etc. All in all, I have no regrets about buying this set and I'd do it again if I had to. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great kit It is much more than you expect to have in compact and very useful kit. Easy to carry and versatile at the same time. Finally a good buy. May 3, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cleaver Compact Set This is a nice alternative to buying a full set of SAE and metric impact sockets. The double ended design is also quite cleaver. There is a squre drive in the center and a different sized socket on each end. In this way, you get six sizes with only four pieces (three sockets and one extension to reach the square drive in the center). The kit comes in a nice plastic storage case. The pieces all came covered in a light oil or rust preventative of some kind. That was slightly annoying and seems unncessary as the pieces are all black oxide coated, but it wiped right off. Overall this is a very nice little set and I would definitely recommend it if you don't need or want the full sets. February 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smart and useful This small set covers the most common sizes need in a small package. It was very smartly designed and well built for the price. Well done! July 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good but need colors to differentiate sizes This is my third different brand over the years. I like this brand because of the 22mm. The lugs on many cars have gotten bigger and the 22mm is the fix. May 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I have mixed feeling about this set. I have mixed feeling about this set. On one hand, it is nice having 6 different size sockets in a compact case. It is also nice having two sizes in one socket. On the other hand, they are slightly taller then a deep well socket without the advantages of a deep well sockets. They can also be a problem when getting into tight spaces because the socket does not mount directly to the impact wrench. The sockets seam to be solidly constructed, and come in a nice case that keeps them organized. This is good because they will not work with normal socket organizers. Because of the way the sockets work, you also get a short extension that you can use with other sockets. Bottom line - for occasional use, or service work, they are handy. If you are working on machinery all day, you are probably going to want a traditional socket set. February 20, 2015
