Strength

Is it stronger than the black one
Asked by: jerome
Jerome, I believe you are referring to the Husky Black 100 position flex lock ratchet Model# H10038FLRAT. Both the Husky Black and the Husky standard ratchet exceed the ANSI (American National Scientific Institute) specifications for torque and strength. The Husky Black version has several features that will aid in accessing hard to reach fasteners. Both ratchets are also covered by Husky's Lifetime Warranty.

Granted, it was a very tight bolt, and I was giving it everything I had, but it still busted. I took it back to Home Depot, and they gave me a replacement without hassle. The replacement also broke g to loosen the same bolt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb value for money. Excellent quality. I was walking through the tool department one day and spotted this ratchet. The words "fFine Tooth" had caught my eye. First impressions were good so i decided to purchase one. After using it now almost daily for several weeks, I can firmly say Home Depot has hit a home run with this tool. The value for money and quality are off the charts. The action is smooth and very solid. The fit and finish is as good as ratchets costing many times more. For the price you simply can't go wrong. I have since purchased the 1/4 inch drive fine tooth Husky ratchet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Quality Tool Very nice quality tool. The direction change toggle is easy to operate but doesn't get bumped to the other direction accidently. The flex head works well and the detent is sufficiently strong to hold the position you put it in, unless you have a big extension or socket attached. It is nice to not have to keep the receipt for any warranty claims since only Home Depot sells Husky. The same cannot be said for Task Force tools.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Husky Stepping Up Their Game As a home mechanic, the tool that gets the most use in my tool box is the 3/8 ratchet. It used to be that Craftsman was the gold standard for DIYers. After breaking several of their "classic" 3/8 ratchets(not USA made anymore), I figured it was time for a change. This ratchet has an excellent fit and finish, and has an excellent action because it has twice the amount of teeth that you would find on tools of similar prices. Its contoured handle fits very well in the hand compared to Cman offerings and I cannot find anything on this tool that is made of plastic(selector switch on Cman is in fact plastic and breaks). For the price, It seems as though it might last as long as my 50 year old SK.
