This is a nice ratchet! So far i've been very impressed with the Husky line of tools.
I also have the 1/4 and 3/8 Drives. These are well balanced precise ratchets.

There are a couple of things I like about this 1/2" drive ratchet. Firstly, the button that controls the positive locking mechanism for the sockets is large, indented and therefore easy to locate/use. The larger button makes it easier when you are trying to get the ratchet and socket into a tight space and need to assemble the ratchet with an extension bar by feel rather than sight. The 72 tooth ratchet means that you don't have to turn the ratchet much to tighten or loosen when you're working in a tight space either.
Secondly the weight and balance of the ratchet handle is good. It feels durable and strong and has an easy to clean polished chrome finish. With a lifetime warranty, it is great value for money.

Super nice tool and it works like a champ. The 72 teeth allow you to get more pull or push to help speed up the job. Heavy duty construction so its not light and if you drop it on your toe or on your face while you are under something it will leave a mark, Trust me. It is strong so you can put a cheater bar on it and know that it is not going to strip or break. The weight feels good in your hand. Its not that bargain basement stuff that feels like a toy in your hand and strips out the first time you use it. It is a nice addition to the Husky set I already have. Like the heavy armor in the tank world. Toggle for on or off is easy to hit with your thumb to switch directions. Moves freely, tight but freely. Good Tool Be Safe

Wow! This is a solid built wrench. It's impressive to hold and dwarfs my 3/8" drive wrenches. The 72 tooth drive means there's very little movement in getting to the next tooth to begin your next turn, which means a lot. It also has a great finish and a very comfortable handle.
It's very well constructed and should last me a lifetime.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GaryDoug Strong wrench
There are plenty of reviews about the usage and overall impressions of this wrench, so am taking another viewpoint, to the insides. The wrench seems sturdy enough, but they all do. What we can't usually see are the parts inside and their quality. So I disassembled this one to find what I could about the materials and design. This is a relatively easy wrench to take apart, which you will probably need to do at times. All you need is a regular set of snap ring pliers. Wrenches with this many teeth get easily clogged with dust, dirt, dried grease, etc, which can cause the wrench to slip, because of the smaller teeth that have to mesh. Once the cover is removed, you can remove all of the parts inside. Be careful to keep track of the pin/spring combination. The places to clean are the gear and pawl which teeth must be clear of any particles. A light coat of grease or heavy oil is all it needs after it is ready to reassemble.
My findings: The pawl is a clever design to maximize the number of teeth that mesh with the larger gear. In each direction, there are 6 teeth that mesh and 6 that are not in contact. One extra tooth in the middle acts as a pivot to allow reversal. In this way, the wrench is stronger than some that only mesh with 2 or 3 teeth. Two of my mature Craftsman wrenches are the 2-tooth design.
Normally I would prefer a wrench with larger and fewer teeth on the main gear for reduced opportunity for slipping. I will keep this one around for uses that require a very limited travel due to cramped space.
All the parts of this wrench were found to be ferrous (iron/steel) except the lever, which appears to be an aluminum alloy. I found it odd to have that one part of a different material from all the others.

We had a shop fire and lost all of our tools which were nearly all a competitor brand. We decided to try these and are very happy that we did. We lost our breaker bar in the fire as well. We HAD to change a tire on a diesel pickup and this was the only tool we had available. It probably isn't recommended, but out came a piece of pipe for some leverage and this ratchet did the job. They work smoothly and fit nicely in your hand. We live on a little farm and we're pretty hard on all tools, but this ratchet is holding up to our abuse. Overall, it's much better than the one that burned and we would definitely buy this again.
