Customer Questions & Answers

Is there a hole for the ball bearing on ratchet to hold the socket from falling off?

Asked by: robert
Robert, there is not a hole all the way through the socket for the ball detent to engage. The through hole is often seen on impact sockets that use a pin and o-ring attachment system. Our standard sockets feature 4 inturnal indents (one on each side square punch) that engage the ball bearing of the ratchet's drive tang to securely hold the socket into place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Set This is a socket set every Do-It-Yourselfer needs in his or her tool kit. The quality is very good with stampings large enough for the older eyes to see ! The fit and finish of these sockets is of a more expensive tool set. The set has 1/4" drive socket sizes not usually found in sets and normally only found if you buy them by themselves. Set could only be better if it came with a rack. Only drawback is they are made in China, but I do recommend for the home owner !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice This is a very nice set of 6 point sockets to have if you are a do it your selfer/handy man. Nice smoother chrome finish, the sockets themselves have a nice sharp corners to help eliminate slippage. Measurements seem to be spot on as I've used several of them the past day on a small project of mine and no fitment issues, . Keep in mind this is just sockets no case or socket bar, they come loose

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect replacement for missing champion 10mm/14" drive socket about an inch long (wrongly listed as 3.5" deep on the website), fit perfectly next to the set I was missing one out of. can't beat the price and was able to find it in my local store to check it out in person.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value, better than most box store sockets Since ratchets have navigated to 72 tooth versions or higher, these 6pt sockets are the way to go. Access is much less of an issue than it used to be. Additionally these are made by APEX, who also makes Matco stuff too (along with others such as Gearwrench, etc.) There's a picture of a dual stamped Husky/Silver Eagle (ie Matco) floating out there on the web. For the price, these are almost impossible to beat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6pt metric socket I bought two of the 10mm sockets. Husky brand are great tools, with a life time replacement. I will be buying again. Thanks for handling great tools.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The one I got is not completely broached and is unusable. I'll bring it back if I remember The 1/4" drive socket was defective. It was not completely broached. I'll return it next time I'm in the store. I bought this socket online with store pickup. Good idea but I should have takem a look befroe I went home.
