I would never have bought this ratchet at the original retail price, however, when it was priced for less than $10, I just had to have it, the head on this ratchet full rotates making it easier to get to tough places.

Purchased to use for work on my motorcycle. Product moves to all the angles I needed, plus you can rotate to use as a driver.

I was having a heck of a time getting to a bolt in my Toyota Previa's engine which normally requires dropping the engine to get to. But I wanted to do the repair myself rather than pay the $600 a shop quoted. The Previa's engine is a pancake below the front seats, and access for this work is through a small panel below the driver's seat. Everything is very cramped down in there. Access to this part from underneath is even worse.
I wasn't able to see the bolt at all, and was just barely able to reach my fingers in and around obstacles to touch it. My 3/8" socket wrench was way too big to move around in there, so I bought a simple 1/4 socket wrench (not this one). I tried using a universal joint on it to get access, but the joint was so loose and floppy, and access was so limited, I could not get the socket to go onto the bolt even after many tries.
Then I saw this rotating 1/4 socket wrench, and saw how the rotating head had enough friction to stay in place unless moved deliberately. I was able to position the rotating head just so, and slowly finesse the socket onto the bolt -- in fact, it was fairly easy! With this wrench I was able to do that repair. I'm not sure what I would have done without it.

It works, simple as that. Couldn't fix my garage door without it.

Nice feeling tool, adjustable tension on pivoting head, great at any angle. find that my nut driver set sits in the tool chest more frequently as I use the roto ratchet to break the bolt free and then use as a ratcheting nut driver. Concerns are that it may not be as strong as a standard ratchet handle, but in 1/4 in drive it should not be an issue.

We bought this specifically to get to a bolt we could not get to with any other tool we owned. It worked perfectly! We have not used it much so I can not attest to it's longevity but it does seem well built and I do feel it will last :)
